The Elements of ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°): Full Episode Review (MLP:FiM, S5E1+2)

So, I bought the Adventures of the Cutie Mark Crusaders DVD a couple days ago, and I find out there is a secret way to find the first 2 episodes of Season 5, and surprisingly, they weren't titled "Cutie Markless" like the Wikia stated, but titled The Elements of ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°).

To watch it, you must take a model 2 Sega Genesis (and yes, a model 2 because the Model 1 and Model 3 will just explode) and you must try to stick a Wii game case in it while making toast, because you know what they say, ALL TOASTERS TOAST TOAST. Then, take a Windows 7 computer and put it in the shower. After 10 minutes, go up on the top of your house and chuck the computer into your backyard. After you go back in your house within 5 minutes, your DVD will give you the option to watch the first 2 episodes of Season 5.

This review comes from the opinions of the poster himself. This does not reflect the opinions of the rest of the Brony community.

Note: Due to copyright reasons, I will not be showing any pictures of the episode.

Plot:

Twilight Sparkle is walking along one day when she discovers she's in the Death Egg. Yeah, this episode contains Sonic characters! But then, the episode takes a Call of Duty tone, as Twilight Sparkle finds Ghost shooting Gilda the Griffon who was just strolling along in her convertible. But then I realized I was writing a very strange fanfic and proceeded to watch the actual episode. Farquaad is resurrected by the Illuminati and he takes over Ponyville by stealing all the fanfiction. The Mane 6 realize the Elements of Harmony are useless against his Mountain Dew and Dorito powers, however the Mane 6 find the Elements of ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) and restore the fanfiction in Ponyville and go back to watching "The Today Show."

The Good:

This episode had tons of character development for the Mane 6, as many of them are given extra powers. Rarity, especially, now has psychotic powers which let her see if Discord is hiding in walls, because Discord is cool like that. Also, I do like the return of the "Rainbow attack" by the Elements of Harmony that is seen in this episode. When it happens though, your TV is automatically turned up to 100 Brightness until the scene ends so all you see is a white screen. Still cool to see though! The introduction of Farquaad and the illuminati was interesting to see, as they were great antagonists, even though were too OP because of Mountain Dew and Dorito powers. Also, the Elements of ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) are a great addition, as they will probably have more ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) in the show!

The Bad:

Musically, this episode sucks. Seriously, there's only one song in the entire special and all it is is Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up. I thought that Hasbro was just trying to Rick roll me, and I was right, but that's besides the point.

The Ugly:

Too much change in the MLP:FiM formula.

Overall Opinions:

Too much Twilight Sparkle.

Overall Rating: 7.8/10

While the Model 2 Genesis/Windows 7 idea works fine, you may also weld an Atari Jaguar to a metal shoe rack, duct tape it to your DVD player, and then stand over an open pail of glue until the Season 5 premiere appears on your TV.

Trust me, it'll be unlike anything you've ever seen.
