As for me, other than Equestria, I like the world of Mana Khemia. I find absolutely nothing wrong with any of the main characters, they're all very likable, and sometimes I wish I was Vayne, just so I could have such awesome friends.

 

I would still choose to go to Equestria, but if going to the world in Mana Khemia meant having friends like Vayne has, it would be the hardest decision in my entire life.

Sharon Shinn's Samaria; not a bad choice, but kinda primative unless you're massively rich.  (no toilets, no magic)

 

Sanderson's Mistborn; DARK DARK DARK (at points)  Waaay far from utopia.

 

I'm sure thera are one or two others too, but they're not utopian.

 

Utopia is hard to write, Equestria is a believable one and one that has intelligent citizens, a high level of magic and seems pretty decent to live in.

I'd rather it be that Equestria and our universe had some way of having a connection... like the mirror from EQG.  Now, i know some dislike that movie, but let me explain - I wouldn't want there to just be ONE portal (mirror) to Equestria (in fact, that would be almost like the timed portal in the Halloweentown series [i love Halloweentown, btw]), but rather a way for anyone to be able to go between here and Equestria.  Imagine it as if there was the technology to have computer programmers program items to become portals to Equestria, and them be something you could buy from Walmart.  Heck, if that could happen, why not make them programmable to go to anywhere!?  Lol, I'm dreamin.  But, that'd be pretty cool, would it not?

Probably not, but space-stations and geneting engineering to decrease violence could eventually achieve a similar lifestyle.  (somebody raises light source and night light source nano-tech etc.,)

I would just LOVE to live in Equestria, preferably Canterlot or Ponyville.

As for other alternate universes... I'd love to live in the Artemis Fowl universe, with the existence of the Fairy people a secret to most of humankind.
I'd also love to live in the Kane Chronicles universe. Where Egyptian magic is real and you could do basically anything with it, if you know how to control it.

So, no, I would choose Equestria, but I do not know if I would get used to Equestrian life. After all, they are far behind in terms of Technology and such.

 

Living without computers or electricity will be tough.
