Link was having an out of body experience maybe :D

I'm only doing this if I get to be Sorcerer Supreme!

And I do believe in this so don't let the dumb jokes fool you. I just think it requires far more discipline than people are willing to put in. And imformation in the first link is a bit ... off. It's a bit of a stretch to call the pineal gland the most important part of your brain.

Sounds like an interesting topic for planesjumping. Can spirituality and having a ba make having obe's a second nature thing that can be done with a command action such as sleeping, like a type of hypnosis?

I've been taking good care of my Pineal Gland for a few years now, and I do have to say, there is a bit of a difference that you'll be able to detect. Subtle, but different. Your dreams will definitely be more real and substantial, and memorable.

My mind also wanders quite a bit though, and most attempts at Astral Travel are obscured by personal issues.

If you do manage to leave your body, don't go to the dark side of the moon. They really don't like it when you go there, and will send you back. Apparently they also might tag you with something so they can monitor you. think of it as a complement though, I suppose. It means you're noteworthy. :PSource.

Concentrating on breathing properly helps a lot, I find. Eventually your body will start to vibrate a little. DO NOT BE AFRAID, and definitely don't jump out of your skin, metaphorically speaking. That's when you use whatever out-of-body techniques you can utilize.

A book I can recommend is Robert Bruce's "Astral Dynamics" - It's definitely quite the manual for this.

Yes I love that book a lot but like sky dream said dont go to the dark side of the moon and just relax it is easier to leave your body then you think.

That seems cool but I really am afraid to give it a try. I meant, they're saying it is safe but what if I lose control and I can never come back, or can not control when to come back?

Believe me, it's completely impossible to get separated from your body. Even that "silver cord" thing is only partially a truthism. It's not possible to cut that. Even while being outside of your body, that's just your awareness. You're not actually "outside" of it. It's kinda like ... ugh, how to explain this. Your soul is locked into your body for reasons that go well beyond your own individual initiative as a soul. You'll be fine. I promise. It's just creating a duplicate consciousness anyway.

Oh god more of this again? Just cause you can induce hallucinations doesn't mean its a good idea to. Take some mushrooms or LSD if you wanna hang with Pinkie Pie? Get a grip guys. Your imagination is a great asset but don't confuse fiction with reality. You can't visit fictional realms unless you're just deluding your brain.

Drugs are not the answer and I dont like that answer astral projection is safe and the real way to go were ever you want.

Except a lot of what you'll see isn't reality as you are currently aware of it. Many places in the astral, most of which you're likely to see, are somewhat of a "template" level reality, where non-important things simply aren't there. That's the problem with being multiplanar.

When I was visited by a friend four years ago, she mostly saw the things that were more important to me, and not as much of the things that were less important to me. She saw in my "most precious possessions" chest, and the only thing she saw was a ring that belonged to my grandmother, and was able to describe it to me in exact detail. That's when I started to try it myself.

Also, see if you can make it to the Summerlands. It's extraordinarily beautiful there. There are directions in that book I mentioned; not that you'd need them, necessarily. Just wanting to go there is often enough to get you there.

My apologies if my posts here are weird. I'm just reporting on what I'm seeing and what other people see too.

i think astral projection is surreal and misleading but the lucidest of all lucid dreams. ''astral'' might be a not so good name for it. cuz astral means something about the stars yknow. maybe when you ''astral'' project you will yourself into the equestria made your way or how you remember it. i need to learn more about ap'ing

i posted without reading
