gaming Any Red Orchestra 2 Players?

Yeah I've been wondering if there's anyone besides me here that plays Red Orchestra 2 Heroes of Stalingrand/Rising Storm.

It's a really fun Multiplayer game (heavy focus on realism, you can bleed to death, you have to watch where you get hit, no HUD that keeps track of your ammo, no crosshairs, etc.) and I'd like to play it with others.

My steam's here if you want to add me:

Yeah, I play(ed) it on occasion. It's very well made, especially compared to the first RO.

When I feel the need to go charging in like a madman in a bayonet charge or feeling scared out of my wits that the bloody arty will hit the one spot I'm in.

Ha, I'm such a casual with RO2. But, still a game I return back to every now and then. Kind of funny when I thought first back seeing some of the early sneak peaks and trailers that I figured the game would have a more complete single play campaign with some actual coop gameplay (if I wanted to play with just friends for a campaign).  But sadly that never occurred. Odd, I don't jump on the Eastern Front much any more, the Pacific seems to call me more for some odd reasons, never thought I'd get tired of the front, but then again, I kind have lost a lot of interest in WW2 games (a bit sad).  Oh it's quite amazing how much trolling and griefing goes on in pub games on R02/RS, it's like an partial element of the game now, bit sad.

I've actually been playing in the Pacific Theater more than the Eastern Front myself. I don't know really what it is but for whatever reason I just prefer playing in Pacific. I'm actually waiting for that RO2 mod In Country: Vietnam, I haven't really seen that many Vietnam multiplayer games aside from Battlefield Vietnam (which is now offline sadly), Bad Company 2 Vietnam and CoD Black Ops which only has a couple of maps set in 'Nam. Really I think the setting would fit RO2's type of gameplay (that and I'm sucker for using the A1 model of the M16 for some odd reason. XD)

I actually know how you feel about WWII shooters though, I personally love them and can't seem to find that many that has a strong multiplayer setting aside from BF1942, RO2 and Dino D Day (a goofy WWII shooter with Dinosaurs). CoD: World at War's and MoH Airborn's multiplayer seems pretty much dead and I have yet to try out Sniper Elite but hey I'm getting of topic, I've pretty much have been getting tired of the Modern Warfare setting myself, It's pretty much become the most common setting and it's almost always against Russia, meanwhile the Civil War, World War I, Korean War and Vietnam settings are continuously ignored and I would love to play games in those settings. I know what the complaint against World War I shooters are (Trench Warfare) but I've actually seen it work via World War I: Source. It's actually pretty fun.

@@The Coffee Pony,

There's a very succesful WW1 FPS on Steam called Verdun. It's currently in early-access, but it's pretty damn good - well worth the money, if you ask me.

Forgot they were still making mods for RO2.  Hmm, might be interesting to have a Vietnam mod for RO2.  I'm almost certain I recall of a good Vietnam game (or maybe it was a mod for BF2?)

Off-Topic:

It's been a while since I've really jumped on to a new WWII shooter, RO2 still being the current one that I still play on PC, (I really need to clear my hard drive, haha, don't even have enough room to install the old cod 1, Cod:uo and cod 2).  Been a while since I jumped on WAW for that matter (I mainly play that with a certain friend now if I do jump back on that one).  Then there's old MoH, and BIA:RTH30 I think would have trouble running that cause I think it's too old to work on Vista? (not sure).  Though I kind of want to try out BIA: HH.   I don't mind if the WWII game still has functional multiplayer or not, I can be okay without it, a bonus if it comes with it (and if its good). Oddly, I'm a guy who can enjoy single player campaigns in WWII games more often usually.  Though, oddly, a recent WWII game like Enemy Front I might think about getting later. It seems like it might be fun.

I own that, and I still haven't gotten around to trying it out.  Wonder how it plays out (can't tell cause, HDD too full).

I'll definitely pick up Verdun after BronyCan

And unfortunately for most of the old MOH games (including the great Allied Assault which still had plenty of players) they were a victim of EA's multiplayer purge! So far the fans of Battlefield 2 and 1942 have replaced the master servers EA has taken out the other games don't seem to be so lucky though.

If you do play WAW again I'll gladly play ya in a Zombie Match.

Maybe, I'm on and off gaming every now and then during certain periods of time, but cheers though.
