What subcultures do you think children should avoid?

Examples:

Girls:

Beliebers, 1-Directioners, Jonas Bros., Twihards, Naruto, Sonic, TDI, etc.

Boys:

Call of Duty, Roblox, awful "children's cartoons" crossovers (e.g. "Pooh's Adventures"), Phineas and Ferb, etc.

Do you know any others that girls and boys (respectively) should avoid, to prevent them from ending up being troll targets?

TDI

... turbo diesel injection?

anyway, i honestly don't know if people should really avoid anything. (except the real bad things like heroin and stuff)

tough as you say it, boys should probably avoid MLP, cause bronies are very easy troll targets. :P

Wait, what? Are you saying that we should tell children to not watch or enjoy certain things due to the potential of being trolled? I mean, sure, Justin Bieber is a talentless drone and I do think his 'music' should be avoided but that's because it is an abomination of music and a sheer mockery of the word.

I honestly am not getting this question. Why should we push children away from different 'subcultures' when THIS one exists? You might as well include this one too.

Seriously, I am not getting the logic here.

@Kyoshi(Turbo Button)

Because I want to know any subcultures with who became trolling targets or mindless fanboy/fangirls. "Those" subcultures are often notorious for their targeting by trolls, poor quality (works and fanworks alike), and rabid fans.

And that includes JB, Call of Duty, and various others like them.

Do you know any other subcultures that are treated like "scum" by the rest of the Internet? (aside from MLP:FiM) I hope that you can list any.

Anything with Paris Hilton in it, MTV, Um....

Subcultures that promote bumping your music as loud as you can so everyone within a mile knows how awesome you are and that you'll develop hearing loss at a premature age~

There are lots of subcultures that i dislike, but i don't think anyone at all should specifically avoid anything. If you like something, it's your own opinion, and no one has a right to take that from you.

After all, your tastes define a part of who you are.

You might as well say everything, because no matter what you do there will be trolls. Not as many for some things, but they will still exist regardless.

You want an HONEST opinion?

The 'Brony' "subculture".

Don't get me wrong, I don't think the show should be avoided. Not at all. Nor do I think that guys of any age shouldn't be able to watch it.

I just wouldn't want any child I ever have to end up in this subculture or on the outskirts of it. I don't want them to have to see disturbing corruptions of the characters, nor do I want them to have to see porn of it. Like, I don't want to see either of those, ever. And even as a grown adult who knows what they're doing with the internet (safe-search, etc.) I still end up unfortunately seeing this crap (I will note not so much on this forum, which is why I'm still here - as a MLP fan).

I want a child of mine to take in the lessons of the show (particularly knowing that as a girl that you can be whoever you are, and that you are valuable, or for a boy, knowing that girls are people, too, and not objects).

Most of them, and the internet as a whole until they're 12.

They can use their imaginations as inspired by kids movies and television (assuming a prudent and informed-opinion parent supervises) and each other until then.

Then you have the talk on how to responsibly use the internet and how to avoid pornography.

Exactly what @@Envy has said, along with furries and and other fanbase where the pr0n levels are so high you can't avoid it.

None.

Children should be taught to avoid *dangerous* things, not communities of things they love.  Sure, there might be dangerous people within said communities, but if you teach them what to avoid IRL and ignore online, there's no reason to keep them from enjoying what they enjoy.  And "troll targets"?  "Bullying targets"?  I'm the type of guy who feels our kids should learn to be brave and courageous and love what they love as much as they'd like and for them and those around them to *stand up* to bullying, not just become subservient little worms and change what they like just so people don't 'mess with' them.

If you're a parent or major influence in their life and they DO like one of these fandoms, help them out by teaching them how to be a 'good' fan and not an 'obnoxious' one, sure; and certainly help them learn how to avoid the drama, which I'm sure any of us here could write novels about for staying in the FiM community so long.  That's all, though.

And... Phineas and Ferb?  Why Phineas and Ferb?  That's an awesome cartoon, man.
