So I made a friend at work about two months ago and we are really good friends now. He is originally from Croatia and he let me borrow a couple of movies last week. He said some of them were scary as hell with A Serbian Film (uncut version), A human centipede 1 & 2, and some others....

Well I saw A Serbian Film about 2 days ago with a friend and what I saw was one of the most disturbing movies I have literally ever seen... I honestly did not enjoy the movie at all although the acting in it was good. The scenes in this movie go way way too far for their own good. The only motive I see behind movie is that you should never mess with any orginization or people that you know nothing about. Never make a deal with someone that you know nothing about basically. Otherwise this movie was absolutely disgusting and I honestly would not reccomend anyone watching it. Don't watch this movie unless your over 18.

However if any of you here have seen this movie... what would your thoughts be on this?

I will not watch it!

Although, I have read up on it and I have to say....wow...that is very disgusting. I mean, newborn porn? WTF!

If you want to see another disturbing movie, watch Cannibal Holocaust. I heard that is just as horrible...because in the movie, they kill ACTUAL ANIMALS.

:(

Yeah... tell me about it I regret watching it. One of the worst movies I have seen honestly. I don't think I'll watch a Cannibal Holocaust nor A human centipede for that matter. I am done watching anything disturbing of that level anymore.

I mean, I know it was fake. Still though! At least the Human Centipede was moderately disturbing. Do not watch Cannibal Holocaust. Ever. I never seen it, but I do not wish to. O.o

This did not bother me at all because that stuff is still going on right now, but what I liked about the movie is the sympathy on Milos and how bad I felt for him, especially his family. One of the most disturbing scenes (And I also recommend the squeamish to skip that part) is the part where Vukmir and Milos were watching a video with a baby in it. The saddest part of the movie is the ending. What's artistic about this movie is even with or without the disgusting things in the movie, you still feel for the character(s) (At leas the main character). Plus, it has really good plotline as well, it's spot on, and that comes to show that even though the movie is pretty gross for most people, that movie makes you feel like that it's not all about just the disgusting parts. And that is what makes that movie art, believe it or not. Anyway, I'm not bothered by disgusting things anyway, but that movie really outdone itself coming from a clear perspective of the most desensitized person.

P.S: You can call me crazy for writing a paragraph about how good the movie is by the way.

I really want to see this movie, but I've never gotten around to it. It sounds like it has enough of the creepier elements to actually be disturbing (unlike some other disappointing stuff out there), but is also an interesting movie in it's own right for people who are not easily freaked out. Granted, I doubt I'll be able to find it anywhere except some really sketchy website, but it definitely strikes me as being a must see.

I saw it a couple years ago when it was making the rounds as the latest internet shock graze.

Honestly, despite how messed up it was, I found myself being more bored and annoyed than shocked and in horror. The entire movie really felt like it was trying to force a reaction out of the audience, rather than tell a gruesome, terrible tale and have the audience react to it. As "edgy" as this is going to make me sound, after seeing carnage both on the real battlefield (something I hate to admit I am still getting minor treatment for) and being exposed to it via the internet circa 2001, the movie just felt mean spirited. It just felt like a mean spirited forceful movie. And I was rather annoyed with it.

This is exactly how I feel towards the film... however the scenes being very gruesome for me at least.

, we have decided to allow this thread in the interest of allowing genuine discussion. We only ask that all people participating in this thread refrain from posting screenshots, clips, trailers and other such content from the movie that would be considered NSFW, but discussion in general is perfectly fine.

  • 1 month later...

Yeah. I've watched a ton of horror movies in my life. This is the ONE movie that has arrived to disgust me, and not even Hannibal Holocaust or the Human Centipede, or even Eraserhead. The Exorcist is like a children's fairy tale in comparison to this.

The Newborn porn scene almost made me puke. Seriously, what the fuck... And I always resist this kind of fake scenes in movies, why did it affect me here?!

It was just made to be disturbing, and I hate movies that do that, one of the many reasons the Texas Chainsaw Massacre sequel bored me to death.

Anyways, aside from this movie being awful in almost every way, I do not recommend it.
