BronyCon 2014 Meetup Plan Thread

@Apple Bloom organized this last year, but given the improbability of his attendance this time, I decided to get this underway. MLP Forums had a member meetup in 2012, and an even bigger one last year (two, in fact). We can do it yet again, and this time I'll actually be able to make it early enough to the convention for our meetup.
 
How this works is pretty simple. Some of us are going to BronyCon, right? We'll just gather at a place of mutual agreement to hang out, talk, and get to know each other personally for a bit before the convention begins. We need to decide on the following beforehand:

• Where we will meet
• What days we will meet
• What times we will meet
• Who will be attending

Anyone capable of attending should post their intention to do so here along with when they plan to arrive and any ideas as to where we should meet up. Keep in mind that your fellow forum members range in age from young teens to... well, anywhere above that. The location needs to be somewhere anyone can legally, comfortably, and freely access. This means no strip clubs or bars, despite there being an abundance of both in the area. Dinner plans and all that are great, but should be made on a more individualized basis. This is just an opportunity for everyone to see each other.
 
As people announce their presence in this thread, I'll add them to a list below. A PM will be sent out to them as the time draws closer so plans can be finalized and private details can be discussed.

Lol thanx never been to a Con before did research and it seems I could make the trip for a simple $600 dollars comfortably.

 

I'm not sure yet and will give a certain answer in maybe a week or two need to see if I could pull it off., I hope I'll be able too.

Depends on your hotel. I'm not sure if the hotels partnering with the convention for discounts still have rooms available.

 

 

This will be my third time attending BronyCon. Well worth the trip if you're able to make it, imo.

I'm kinda mad at myself I missed the meetups last year while exploring the convention.  I'll do my best this year to see that does not happen.  Tho I don't know if many will be thrilled to see me,  I probably come off as very blunt and full of my self on these forums.  But I'll still be happy to meet everyone.

 

Already have my time scheduled off of work.  Just have not made plans with Hotel yet, or got tickets.  I need to finalize some arrangements at home with care for my Kids and Pets.

I'm a little unsure - when I go to gaming or comic conventions, I tend to get a sense of the SUPER-SUPER devoted fans of a particular fandom. I'm a little worried that it's gonna be kind of an overload - like people are going to be singing the songs nonstop and wearing tails and stuff. I have no quarrels with that, just that I'd feel a bit awkward around there.

I'm in! Sounds like a fun way to meet some of the faces on here. I'll be arriving in Baltimore Thursday night (The 31st around 6pm) and as for a place to meet I don't know the area that well so I am going to just suggest M & S Grill right on the bay although part of me really wants to suggest Luna del sea simply because best princess.  :comeatus:

Room Share at Brony Con.

 

My Wife and I are attending Bronycon 2014 in Baltimore this year. We will be reserving a Room and are looking for 2-3 people to share the room/cost with. We plan on reserving the room for July 31 (Thursday) Night thru Sunday checkout. 3 nights, With us checking out on Sunday morning, tho we don't plan on leaving Baltimore till the afternoon.

 

If interested you would be covering a percentage based on the number of people in the room. Example 3 total people (my Wife and I included) you would pay 33% at about 160$ per night (the price I'm being quoted) you pay 160$, I won't charge you tax, I'll cover that. 4 people you would cover 25% (120$) 5 total (96$). I don't want more than 5 total people in there cause it just becomes too much of a hassle (past experience).

 

I will be trying to get a Room with 2 beds.  Tho at this time I can't guarantee that.  (to be edited after i get the room)

 

I don't care about race, religion, sex, or age, however: Please be at least 18 as I don't want to be responsible for a preAdult. No offense intended

 

If you are actually in my area, or possibly on the way to Baltimore  (coming from Wilkes-Barre) and are interested in a ride share.  I could do that for 1 or 2 people as well if you are willing to help with gas cost.  (Again not asking you to pay for the full tank, just a portion to help out.)

I will be one of the many Pinkie cosplayers, and my friend will be a Fluttershy.

Well, I plan on bringing my GoPro and capturing footage on my drive from Wisconsin to Baltimore so I could just bring that along (Initiate hemet cam!). If everything goes as I hope I will have a new camera to bring to the con, well not new but different I guess, so if all goes as planned I bring that too.

 

As for the wrestling video, would you mind elaborating on it as I don't watch wrestling but I'm interested in making a video clip.

I'll be flying in from Frankfurt, Germany the night before the con. I'm leaving by noon the day after it ends, but anywhere in between works for me. Not picky about what we do or where we go.

I will be attending August second and August third, I get in on that Friday actually, but kinda wanted to chill, scope out the town and go to a O's game on Friday. But, will be attending the con, Saturday and Sunday and than going home on Monday,(unless I can find enough money to go somewhere else after Baltimore for a couple days)

on youtube go look up wrestling promo vids, they are hilariously over the top sometime,

my video is an example, basically promo vids are like a way of saying "hey im going to be here, and this is what im going to do while im here" although they are usually over the top and entertaining to watch, if you want i can PM you some examples

i will probably make another video, i had fun making the first one lol
