Made this piece of music in Jeskola Buzz.  It was inspired by Rainbow Dash, and is intended to evoke a vision of flight.  Really this is the type of music I'd compose for a Rainbow Dash SHMUP lol.  Worry not, any who might accidentally listen to this; it's likely the last time I'll subject MLP Forums to my music. xD

It's an okay peice

The one thing I complain about when it comes to subjecting anything with that electric beat is the lack of variance. What would've suited this piece better, was a more rock type of feel. It would've allowed for more varied percussion instead of the continous drive of the electronic beat, which is where most electronic pieces crumble. That same percussion beat tends to make the piece lose steam because it's the main force.

Also, flanging the piano would've had a great effect. Maybe have a very slow and subtle flanger. If your software has an overdriven guitar sound, maybe some power chords would fit with this piece.

I see what you were trying to do with this piece: put Rainbow Dash's personality in it.

All in all, I feel that this piece could be reworked. Good effort though

6.5/10

Perhaps I could rework it for you in my software...

Well I'm glad it scored better than my last piece lol.  And thank you, but I'm more or less satisfied with the piece the way it is.  I just like to make things.  Whether or not I'm any good at it is entirely secondary. xD

@,I like it! It reminds me of music id here playing a nice indie game or a obscure yet totally well side scroller or top down rpg made game. :)

Very upbeat and reminds me of Dashie maybe flying to a Wonderbolt event, psyching herself up on the way there possibly because shes about to perform in said Wonderbolt event! :wau:

 /10  (take that as you will lol)

Mind having the MIDI? I like how the piano goes, I wanna try to do something with it.

That's the second time someone's asked me for "the midi" lol. xD  I don't know what ppls mean, as it isn't in midi format and there's no way (that I know of) to output it in that format via Buzz.  Maybe I've misunderstood, though.

Well, is there a way you can export it out as a midi with the piano only? I don't know how MIDI works in that sense, so I could be wrong.

I'm afraid I don't know how or if I can. xD  The original file is in a Buzz-specific .bmx format, and the only options I see are "recording" it in formats like .wav and .mp3 (the latter being my format of choice).  Sorry - never really needed my Buzz stuff in any other format before.

Damn, oh well. Can you then just take out the piano and export just that?

Ehh I'm afraid anyway I export it wouldn't be especially useful or malleable. xD  I'm flattered by the interest, but I'm working with an exceedingly old version of freeware music generation software lol.
