((OOC))

It was a bright, peaceful morning in Ponyville. Ponies happily trotted along the streets, while Pegasi flew around and rested on clouds above. Some could be seen cheerfully chatting with acquaintances and friends near the bustling marketplace. The sky was a beautiful, crystal blue with few clouds. All was well.

Spring Rain walked into town, not bothering to fly in. Her long, multicoloured mane hung low, covering her eyes. She wore two saddlebags, fitting uncomfortably over her wings. It bothered her right wing - her dragon wing - the most. Her dragon-like tail swayed with each step, the tip barely missing the ground.

As far as she knew, she was the only pony not merrily cantering along or conversing with friends. In fact, most ponies seemed to frown as she walked by, assuming she was sad by the way she walked.

She wasn't sad; she was just... not social. She'd had enough bullies in school to keep her away from others. She just didn't trust normal ponies. Since fillyhood, she'd grown to give off an icy demeanour, making it clear she wasn't looking for friends.

    Still, she wasn't sad.

The mare continued wandering the street, going nowhere in particular.

There was a certain pegasus who was flying in the air, kicking at clouds as he came by them. He lived in Ponyville, towards the

northern side of it. He was a blue pegsus with a flashing orange mane, with the hair billowing in the wind as his wings beat furiously in order to keep up with the constant breeze.

The name of this pony was Sky Chaser. He was named for the fact that, as a young filly, he would constantnly run after little clouds floated over his head. This eventually lead to a passion for taking flight into the air, and thus, his cutie mark resembled a puff of cloud that was being moved by an air current. He had gotten this by saving a friend from a storm that had run itself into town.

This day, however, he was off work and was simply flying around for fun. Sky loved being up in the air, unhindered by whatever it was that he was feeling that day. Whether he was sad or depressed, he flew. When he was feeling down, he flew. When he felt so ecstatic he swore he would explode, he flew. It was a habit for him.

When he passed over the streets of the town, he saw something that seemed out of place. No doubt that Pinkie Pie had already welcomed any new ponies, yet Sky loved to meet them as well. Taking in her features, he landed in front of her softly, not to scare her, but to simply let her know he was there.

Sky exteneded a hoof and smiled, "Hi, I'm Sky Chaser! Are you new here?"

((*colt c: fillies are female young equines, and colts are male young equines.))

Spring let a slightly surprised expression make its way onto her face as a stallion suddenly landed in front of her, but given that her long mane covered most of her face, all that could be seen of the expression was her mouth, which opened slightly. She had no idea who the pony was or why he had spoken to her. As she looked him over, her features settled back into her usual look of indifference.
"Spring Rain," she said, her voice flat. She shook his hoof. "Yes, i'm new here."

Sky took notice of her bland personality and her strangeness of reaction. Normally, a pony woul either jump in fright or at least show some emotion. Trying not to annoy her, he smiled, "Well it's nice to meet you! Has Pinkie gotten to you yet? Sorry if she comes off as a little strong, she's just rather different than the rest of us." Retracting his hoof, he looked at how she was moving. In his eyes, she seemed almost indifferent about his introduction. Trying not to feel like he was being ignored, he forced his smile to stay on his lips, "Are you looking for a specific spot?"

Spring shook her head. "No, I've never heard of a 'Pinkie.' I just got in hardly an hour ago," she replied, her voice still emotionless.
For a moment, he seemed to falter, surprised by her reaction, but she may have been seeing things. As he asked his next question, she again shook her head .
"Nope. Like I said, I just got here. I have nowhere to be right now."

Sky felt as though she either did not care for him, or that she was hiding something. he felt the former, but in his mind, he prayed the latter. Thinking about hsi next words carefully, he smiled to her and waved his hoof towards the street in front of him. He also let out a silent note of happiness that Pinkie hadn't gotten to her yet, otherwhise this pony may have been scared off.

"Then let's go! I'll show you around, if you don't mind! I've not gotten to meet anyone new yet! And thank goodness you haven't met Pinkie yet, she'll scare you if I don't warn you!"

A confused look spread across Spring's face, completely taken by surprise. Her mouth fell open slightly in her confusion.
"Let's... go?" she echoed, her voice carrying her perplexed expression with it. She quickly recovered the surprise, but she raised an eyebrow at his comment about this Pinkie pony scaring her.
"Scare me? I doubt it. What, is she some sort of weirdo or cannibal? Does she bake ponies into her food?" she questioned him sarcastically, almost smirking. She turned a bit to her right and extended the wing on that side to show her dragon tail and wing. "I don't know if you've noticed, but I'm part dragon. We don't get scared off too easily."

Sky hadn't seen the dragon part of her yet. It could be safely assumed he was very far off when it came to things of that nature. Being observant was something he didn't be when it was needed. It was a flaw about him that sometimes caused some awkward scenarios.

"Pinkie is random and she'll just sometimes not even react the right way you think she would. She's just a strange characters."

Sky noticed her tail and his eyes went wide. Shaking his head to clear it, he turned to stare at the other parts of her that weren't dragon-like. He didn't mean to be rude, but his surprise would seem hurtful to her if he let her see it.

"I'll take you around some of the town!" He ignored the dragon parts entirely.

Spring raised her eyebrow again at his reaction to her dragon parts. It was obvious he was trying to hide his initial surprise. She stifled a snicker, the impulse to laugh surprising her.  She was so used to keeping a stoic face.
She was fairly reluctant to have him walk her around, this becoming the longest conversation she'd had in some time. It was new territory to her. He seemed to want to become friends; she hadn't met somepony with that intent in a long while, and didn't know what to think of it.
After a moment's thought, she mentally sighed. Might as well humour him, she reasoned.
"Alright, then," she conceded.

Sky nearly clopped his hooves for joy when he heard her tell him that he could show her around. It was indeed his intent to actually make friends with her. He loved to make new pony friends, mainly because friends to him were as important as breathing. Friends meant conversations, being able to reveal emotions to ponies, among other things. The fact that she was going to give him a chance at least meant that he could work with this.

"Great! So first I'll show you Sugarcube Corner, home of the famous Pinkie Pie Party Planner Extraordinaire!"

Sky began to happily trot in that direction, looking at the path in front of him. After a few minutes, he realized hew as igonring her and he turned, "What brings you to Ponyville?"

Spring followed along, not uttering a word. She didn't mind him ignoring her; it was kind of nice given that she wasn't the most social of ponies. But soon he turned back to her and spoke.
pring sighed inwardly and replied, "I lived in Cloudsdale before, and wanted a fresh start. So, I'm moving here." She said it bluntly, without any emotion. She didn't want to share any more than that.

Even though Sky coudln't make simple observations, he manged to make snese of her not wanting to speak. He slowly continued to walk down teh street, humming the tune of the song 'winter wrap up'. he remember having to sit down and learn that song, and how they would sing it every winter to help raise their spirits.

As he continued along, he poitned out structures and various things that was prevelant in the area. Mainly, he showed her the Sugarcube Corner, the road to Fluttershy's cottage, the Golden Oak Library, Quill's and Sofa's, and other thigns. He finally finsiehd and giggled, "Anyplace else you want to see?"

The song Sky Chaser hummed was unfamiliar to Spring. It was quite catchy though, and she knew it would get stuck in her head.
As they slowed, the half-dragon mare found she was getting quite hungry. She looked up and saw that the sun was at its apex; it was lunchtime.
"Ah, well. I'm pretty hungry," she said. "Could you show me to a restaurant?"

Smiling to her and still humming Winter Wrap Up, he continued to mvoe along with the entirety of town. Finally stopping, he turned behind her and thought about it.

"The hay burger is a good restaurant. that one is good to eat at, if you like a combination of burgers, hay fries, and some other things among that. It's actually a good one."

"If you're interested, I'll take you there!"

Spring nodded after hearing the description of the restaurant.
"That's fine," she said. She didn't have any preferences, knowing that most of the restaurants here were vegetarian. She personally preferred meat or gems, but neither were easy to get. Either way, she was slightly disappointed.

Sky smiled to her and he gently started to take off into the air, flapping his wings hard and starting to hover in the air above her. He loved flying, and that was already prevelant as he giggled and spun around in circles.

"It'll be much faster if we fly!"

Sky smiled and he gesutred for her to take off with him.

Spring nodded and took flight, her wings instantly finding the right tempo. Onlookers might call her flight awkward, seeing her dragon wing beating slower than her feathered wing, but it was natural to her. She hovered in front of him
"Alright," she said. "Show me the way."

Sky smiled to her. He seemed to take in the fact she had dragon wings and a slightly off body very well, which was becuase he did. He had learned early on only to judge a pony based on their actions, and, by nature, he was very outgoing. He giggled a tiny bit and then dahsed towards the east end of Ponyville, passing the ruins of the Golden Oak Library. In the distance, Twilight's castle glistened in the light. Smiling, he dove to the left and then landed in front of the resturant.

Spring trailed behind Sky, not too far behind. It was obvious he liked flying. He just seemed to be at home in the air. Spring wasn't a huge fan of flying herself, but didn't mind it. She followed him to the restaurant, looking around as she flew.
When they landed, she looked at the restaurant, then at him.
"Thanks," she said.

The pony landed at the enterance and he opened the door. The smell of flowers and grease hti them as they entered. Many ponies were inside, filling up the tables. Sky simply walked in and he sat down, and waved to his friend, Deep Swimmer, behind the counter. He turned to hsi friend, "What exactly do you like to eat? They actually serve some meat here, mainly fish though."

Spring stared at Sky as he walked into the restaurant, surprised. She had only meant for him to show her the way, but he must have seen it as an invitation to lunch. Still, she brushed it off and followed him in. She looked around as they sat, and looked at the menu.
He was right; they did serve some meat-based meals. Though she would have liked to have something with meat in it, she decided against it. It would probably just freak the other customers out anyhow.
"I dunno," she said, still looking through the menu. "What're you having?"

Blinking, he stared going through it and then settled on something he enjoyed more than most, "I actually like some fish, so I'm doing a fish and daisy sandwhich with a side of hay fries." He smiled to her, then he leaned back in his chair. He wanted to be nice to her, and was striving to make her comfortable.

Wait, what if she thought he was igonring her? He quickly thought of some quicky converstaion topics, "So where exactly did you move from again?"
