There's not much I dislike about it tbh besides the theme (obv.) I sat here a good 5 minutes trying to think of another reason but I go nothing.

The only thing I can think of is how the show sometimes makes episodes to promote their low-quality toys. Now I'm pretty aware that MLP: FiM exists to promote the toys, but it's easy to ignore that since many of the episodes are well-made. Whenever I see so-so episodes such as Magical Mystery Cure or Equestria Girls, it shows that they partially exist to boost their sales. It's kind of sad to see that Hasbro would so cheap tactics like this, but that's what they like to do. -3-

Probably the adverts on tv, the writers say it's for all age and gender groups yet you wouldn't think so. Before I joined the fandom I remember laughing at the Canterlot wedding advert. Looking at the New Equestia girls advert also makes me irritated, since they don't seem to pay much attention to the main group of fans.

The lack of serious depth into the background of Equestria. Like, sure, We have episodes like Winter Wrap Up, Hearths Warming Eve, Family Appreciation Day, etc. I also understand that the series is called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, rather than My Little Equestria: History is Everything. But I'd still like to know more.

Events such as the problems that occurred during Luna's eventual revolt. Such as Discord's attempt at taking over the world. Such as how Equestria itself came to be.
I love watching the adventures of the Mane 6 and Friends, but a little bit of something else would be just as good, and a little refreshing.

Id say the theme, its just to close to the orginal. Also i dont like how the show depicts males. It shows then as strong but they are ether evil, less then average intelligence or carried solely as a plot device for a female character. I think thebwriters at this point should relize the diversity of gender in their audiance and start focusing on showing an equal standing between the genders. It just feels a bit to (Girls go to college to gain more knowledge

Boys go to Jupiter to get even stupider) which the rhyme defeats its own message but still i wouldn't be againts showing a bit of gender equality. Just something i observed nothing more than that, still like the show.

Whenever the show reminds you it's a kids show. Like the theme song or when it has those really cheesy cringe worthy moments that make you say "THANKS, JORDAN!"

The theme song is actually one of the things that made me like the show, so I hope they continue to use it. Maybe they could do a different intro animation, but I hope the theme song stays.

 

I have minor nitpicks about episodes and characters and such, but the only real problem I have is that they changed Derpy's voice and that there isn't nearly enough Mayor Mare and Zecora in this show.
