I shall start something! XD

So I hate seeing all these people being cyberbullied all over the internet. I hate seeing all these notecard stories of people being bullied. It's not that I hate the video itself, but I hate knowing that these people were bullied. these things are awful.

Why does bullying still happen?

Why are people still so mean?

Why?

just why?

Remember that one 11 year old kid who got called "gay" for loving the show My Little Pony?

What happened was that he tried to commit suicide do to the hostility of his peers.

He tried, but he ended up seriously hurting himself and to this day he's still in the hospital.

Is the kid okay now?

I've never had much experience with bullying, but still, even I know, even the bullies must know that something like this is not acceptable.  Where do y'all think these kids are learning their poor behavior from?

As far as I'm concerned, he's still in critical condition and has severe brain damage.

By the way, this other video was the best response I saw out of a fellow Brony of the incident.

I've heard that severe bullying can cause mental damage to a person's ability to learn and succeed academically as well

Then the ones doing the bullying, are usually bullied or abused elsewhere whether it's at home or somewhere else

I think the real only good way to stop the cycle is for everyone involved in the cycle to get help, whether it's counseling or some other way

No matter how you slice it, it's a very unfortunate cycle to get stuck in

My logic is...people need to not care what other people like, that is, in the negative sense. Life is much better this way.

[x] Correct: "Oh you like MLP? That's cool, whatever."

Incorrect: "Oh you like MLP? That's for fags!"

Mr. Bully, what have you learned? "Oh. You're right! I didn't mean to put that kid in the hospital. Brony, you're so smart."

See what you can learn? You just need some help/counselling, perhaps psychotherapy.

Bullies are the worst kind of people. They seek weak people and strike them there where it hurts the most. And I can't believe that still people are doing almost nothing to try to stop them. I'm being bullied and guess what no one is doing anything about it.

As being bullied there is not much you can do yourself to stop it.  I think political leaders should take bigger steps to help eliminate bullying, because I' have seen enough of these examples about people  trying to kill themselves or hurt themselves because of bullying.

I can support you by knowing you are against bullying... but just like racism it not going to go away just because you don't like it. Hell I wish a lot of things would cease to be but all I can say is if you see someone being bullied always stand up for that individual have their back when they have no one.

"Hey Emerald, why don't you have a Facebook?"

Good question.

After setting up my brand new Email account I thought about joining the Facebook community.

That's when I saw this video.

Where an autistic kid got sucker punched in the face by a group of bullies.

One of them posted it on Facebook thinking it was funny.

From what I've heard, stuff like this happens frequently on Facebook.

So no.

I'm never to join the Facebook community.

In a way, we need bullying, it's been part of society for a long time, and after almost losing an eye to bullying, I can say that in the end it was helpful for me. I learned to stand for myself and now have better self-esteem.

But peeps must also watch out for when it comes out of control. What a better way to fit in the group than picking the outcast? When everyone is after a guy because he still didn't stand for himself, we need to get him out of here. Yep, suicide is a sad alternative.

Bullies are the worst kind of people.

Well, the ones who bullies are the ones with lots of problems, then everyone follow this guy because he seems cool. It's not really their fault, it's the only way for them to fit in the group, and most of the time you do it unintentionally. I'm pretty sure you have bullied before too, kinda everyone did once. Bullies really are dreadful people.

They ruin lives and rive people to suicide.

Luckily, it didn't get worse for me when I openly came out as a brony. Probably because before that, I came out as bisexual.

But still, I really don't like the situation with bullying because it causes things like suicidal thoughts and actions, as well as lowered self-esteem. I know that first-hand

You refer to bullying as if people "need it".

What if a person went his entire life without being bullied?

What would he loose?

Nothing.

And by the way, I've never been bullied in my entire life, but I know FOR SURE if some shithead decided to act like a jackass to me, I'd stand up for myself.

You DO NOT "gain" self-esteem

Everyone has self-esteem, it's just that some people have a hard time using it.

There are people out there who says people should get bullied. I'm not joking. I've seen it. It makes me sick when people say that. No one deserves to be bullied. People should not get bullied to prepare them for more bullying. People should work to end bullying. I've been bullied a lot online and offline. I was verbally bullied, physically bullied, and emotionally bullied. I was pretty much the biggest victim when I was at school. The teachers didn't do anything. Some of them were part of the bullying, in fact. I dropped out because I could not handle it anymore. (among other reasons.)

No one deserves to be bullied.

Like it or not, bullying exist, and it certainly cannot be stopped. To stop bullying, it is something we cannot achieve, like freedom. We can try to get close tho.

I've received my load of rocks in the face, I almost lost an eye, I was pushed, punched, bullied because of my accent and my slight parry-romberg syndrome. I've been bullied by my 5th grade teacher because my familiy couldn't afford glasses. (etc) Yet I went through this, I'm alive, and it's my last year of school, I'm happy.

I was shy, I would rather read on the side of the school instead of playing with people. Bullying got me friends, increased my social skills, and boosted my self-esteem when I first stood to myself, I'm always ready to help, but I'm not naïve anymore. If all of this never happened, I would have gained nothing. I'd still be reading alone, and I probably wouldn't even be able to get a job.

Bullies should get help to solve their problems, and victims should get help to learn to stand for themselves.

Edit: I know it's harsh, but in a way, it has positive sides.

There are more negative sides to bullying than positives.

I don't even need to explain myself on that.

Sure you can pull some positives out of it, but hardly any.

I know bullying is impossible to stop, but it makes sense to try and stop it.

Getting bullied has gotten you friends and helped develop your social skills.

I get it.

Bullying has also gotten others to self-abuse themselves and to commit suicide.

That greatly outways the goods of buidling your social skill and friend status.

Whether you like it or not, my hope is that bullying stops.
