What bothers me about Rainbow Rocks

I've noticed that in some of the Rainbow Rocks shorts, as well as the book, our favorite unicorn DJ is STILL being referred to as "DJ Pon3" and for some reason it's really getting on my nerves. Sure, the humans in EG had names that would not be considered "normal' in our society, but DJ Pon3? Why can't they just call her Vinyl Scratch, as the fandom does? After all, Hasbro renamed Bon Bon for us (her original name was Sweetie Drops, I think), so why not rename DJ Pon3?

I think I heard about the Sweet Drops Bon Bon thing somewhere. Anyway, there could be reasons for it. My guess is that the name 'Vinyl Scratch' would be to much of a arbitrary name to use for the human version of a typically background based pony. They figure since she is a background pony and only appears on occasions that it'll not matter to just call her Dj Pon3.Though I do see how it can be an issue, especially for those who are use to calling her Vinyl Scratch. This is my thinking on it anyway.

They probably used Dj-Pon3 as the equestrian girl version would make more sense I think

I honestly don't care. Both names are cool and I think it's fine that Hasbro uses the other one. I thought both were used by the fandom anyway though?
