Rainbow Dash. The mare that made the legends of the sonic Rainboom true. The mare that saved all of Equestria from danger with loyalty. The mare who finished Jr. speedster flight camp and the wonder bolts academy with flying colors. A Equestrain games Athlete. A weather pony that finishes her job in 10 second. Rinabow Dash has exhibited feats capable of out shining the Wonderbolts. She saved those that they could not twice. Won the respect of the leader Spitfire. Broke records of the Wonderbolts academy. Offered a place next to the Wonderbolts in the Equestria games.  From the number of candles on RD's cake in Pinkie Pride, we can say she's just over 21. That’s old enough to be on the reserve so why not the actual team? On the Wonderbolts reserve...AND YET NOT A FULLFLEGED WONDERBOLT?! WHY? It just doesn't add up.

In Rainbow Falls when RD and the gang arrives at rainbow falls RD seems to be well know because of how the other ponies wow at her. So she's just as well known as the Wonderbolts. She is going solo and Is just as good a flyer as Spitfire, and better then Soarin by the looks of it.

So what do you think? Is Hasbro just doing what ever drags the show on, or are they letting the Other main 6 develop their hopes and dreams first.

I don't know why, but I feel like if Rainbow Dash became a Wonderbolt, it would ruin her character for me.

Although, and this may just be my personal opinion speaking, but the reason I like Rainbow so much is because she strives to be the best, while still remaining loyal to her friends.

I feel as if she became a Wonderbolt, there'd be nothing more for her to strive for, you know?

Plus, if the writers make her transition into a Wonderbolt and do it poorly, it might ruin her character, at least in my eyes.

This opinion of mine can also be applied to the "Should the Cutie Mark Crusaders get their cutie marks?"

It will happen sooner or later, unfortunately.

I don't want her to become a Wonderbolts, I fear that would change her too much (and even ruin her character like @Shadowking58 said), and she would see her friends less and less.

That's Exactly what I wanted to say.

But, at least there's going to be something to ease my pain.

If Rainbow's position as my favorite pony is one day lost, I will still have a blue hedgehog to love, and that's just as good!

If you recall, she was invited to the Wonderbolts academy. She almost quit after seeing how Wreckless Lightning Dust was, but once Spitfire recognized it, Dashie was promoted. After that, the storyline didn't continue. Maybe next season?

She's fast, faster than Spitfire i believe. But faster isn't better. She has come a long way since her season 1 days, but she still feels a bit lacking in certain areas (She was shown to be both Overconfident and indecisive on several instances). She's on the right track though - Maybe she'll get there on S5.

She's better than the Wonderbolts, both in talent and in morality, and she's both in the Reserves and went to the Academy. The only reason she's not in is so the show can keep going

She has completely qualified, and she deserves it more than spitfire herself. But, the wonderbolts are still learning how to be real leaders and team players. Spitfire had to learn two lessons that should have come naturally. FleetFoot had to learn one. Heck, Soarin should be the leader, he did nothing wrong.

RainbowDash is younger, however more mature than the wonderbolts.

PS: I think it would just be a down side if RainbowDash fulfilled her life-long dream. Just like the CMC's. It would end a story.

I realy would like for Rainbow Dash and the others to get their dream life, but I think we all know that they aren't because of all of the main 6 now have to help save the friendship in equestria. We've hardly seen what the life of a Wonderbolt is of we can't say she will have free time or is training all  the time. The more likely answer is that she will not have time; just look at the training they did at the academy.

I think that at first it would open doors to greater hights at first then she would run of good episodes. Maby she will join the wonderbolts only to then think of quiting for her friends, and then her friends suport her in being a Wonderbolt and have weekly meet ups.

Exactly this.   I also want to add, her potential is outstanding, yet if she became a Wonderbolt in S5, that would be a surprise, b/c this kind of event would probably serve as part of a great series finale.

Tenchically she is a wonderbolt, as she did join the wonderbolts reserves.

And she will be an offical wonderbolt, but the inherent issue is that it is her driving force as a character. Meaning that after she becomes a full member of the wonderbolts there is not much room for her growth as a character as she has reached her xenith of personal growth, thus forcing her into a situation like applejack. Were her character would become complacent in her position in life, and thus not have much for the writers to do with her character in a tv show format.

I think she should be, but she should probably be in the reserve. It's clear her duty to help Twilight as an Element is more important, but I want Dash to get to accomplish her dream too.

I hate to say it, but there's sort of a problem here with Dash becoming a Wonderbolt, that being that her main goal will be accomplished. This is troublesome for two reasons: one, the writers lose a recurring plot point and character motivation and two, the writers are forced to come up with a new motivation for Dash. However, this may prove difficult because it appears that her one and only goal is to be a Wonderbolt. By becoming one, her arc just sort of ends. I personally want to see Dash quit on the Wonderbolts (since all too often they disappoint Dash with their behavior). Wouldn't that be interesting to see Dash actually turn her back on them and go chase another dream? Inb4 100 bronies say no and petition for a face-hoof button to down vote this comment B)

I think she definitely has what it takes to be a Wonderbolt.  And a good deal more given how she's constantly outshined them in the series. xD  And I mean morally as well as in terms of feats of aerial skill and heroism.  SHOULD she be a Wonderbolt?  Though I'm not sure the Wonderbolts deserve her, I still want her to realize her dream.  I won't suddenly lose interest in her if she does so before the end of the series; that's not the sole reason I watch the show or enjoy her character.  And for the people saying, "Well, where does she go from there?"  Here's an idea:

She IMPROVES the Wonderbolts.  She transforms them into something worthy (or as close as possible) of the idealized / idolized version of them that exists in her head.  Because, seriously: they could use some improving.  She's had a couple of moments where the image she's had of them was endangered.  Challenged.  And that's GOOD.  That's interesting.  That's even character development: disillusion.  And I'm not afraid of her spending less time with her friends because Princess Twilight who has princess-ly duties still hangs out with them constantly lol.  Why would WB Dash be frequently absent?  You realize the writers can just do whatever, right?  Twi grew wings.  Ponies burst into song randomly.

Also, so far as my dream scenario goes, maybe she - post suiting up as a WB - Sonic Rainbooms some new, ridiculously powerful and massive villain right in the kisser, and she does so right alongside Spitfire.  There can be some dramatic scene where she says, "We have to protect Princess Celestia!"  Then cue devastating Rainboom-to-face.  There may be the wing equivalent of a high-five involved.

Oh, and by the way: Rainbow Dash doesn't have a ceiling.  Lady can fly; as high as she wants and the writers can write.  Rainbow Dash in SPACE; just putting that out there.  Or Wonderbolts spin-off series with RD at the helm.
