Did anybody try to kidnap you

I picked up a safe side anti-kidnapping thing from the library (for my kids to listen to) and was wondering how often adults actually try to kidnap kids.

 

I don't remember any occurrences in my life.

 

I'm not going to stop teaching stranger safety even if the poll ends up with 0 attempts.

Yes, when I was about 6 years old.

 

I used to throw the football around by myself in the yard, and one day a man came up to the fence and asked to play catch with me. I started throwing the ball back and forth, and the guy said he wanted to show me a different ball in his car. Being an oblivious little kid, I agreed. As I was about to exit the fence, my step-dad came outside and the guy immediately fled.

 

Turns out, the guy was a convicted sex offender and was later arrested again. If my step-dad hadn't have randomly stepped outside, I might not be here today.

Nope never happened. I actually used to take 2 public bus lines with a transfer to go to school by myself. Not sure I'd do the same thing in this day and age but I'm not sure if it's more dangerous now or if we're more hyper aware of the worst of what can happen.

Nope, No-one has attempted to kidnap me before and I hope it stays that way! I stay inside my house a lot of the time so chances of someone trying to kidnap me are pretty low.

I *might* have had a close call, although I can't say that for certain.

 

I just remember sometime when I was really young I was out in the front yard playing by myself and I remember this goldish car drove up and stopped. Inside was what I remember to be a bald-headed man who stopped and (I think, although it may be a fabrication in my mind) stared at me with a creepy grin.

 

I ran back to the house really quick, thankfully. My mom was scared to death when I told her... Back then I don't remember understanding the seriousness of the situation since I was so young. In fact, if he was really there to kidnap me it could have just as easily happened because I don't even remember what exactly it was I thought that made me run inside. o.O

There was a creepy guy who tried to kidnap me and my friends when we were about 12 or 13 i think, but we gave him the slip. We could see him following us as we walked along the streets, but being so small and such, we took him to an alley we knew of which had a crack in a wall through which we could fit to the other side and escaped.

Fortunatly no one has ever tried to kidnap me (it may have had something to do with my size as a child, as i was both rather tall for my age and incredibly overweight), but I have responded to attempted kidnaping calls, and they are never a good thing to deal with.

yeah, probably more than once.  i just remember one time.  i was at a mall with my fake aunt.  and then she went into a store or i wandered off or something.  some old man tried to get me to come with him, but then my fake aunt found me and said that i wasn't lost and then drug me away.  lol

 

i saved my little sister when her dad tried to kidnap her when she was a baby.  he grabbed her and was trying to open the front door, but i blocked it until someone could get her out of his arms.
