Lol, besides MLP, what are some other obsessions you have?

I think by far, my biggest obsession is Loki. I've been known to going back to him off and on because he's just so irresistible. >o< I also get pretty obsessed with my writing at times as well.

I don't have any anymore, but back in 5th to 7th grade World of Warcraft was my crack. My grades DROPPED and tbh I have not one clue how I passed back then. And back in '11 and '12 I was also obsessed with the show. But now I went through a ton of changes and I don't really obsess over things anymore.

Besides MLP... (So can't mention Rarity)

OK...

Sexual Pleasure

Mental Health

Strange... for someone with autism, I don't have many obsessions.

Passed obsessions:

Code Lyoko

China

Greek Mythology

Pokemon

Can't remember the rest

Hmm, I have quite a few:

MLP (probably one of the biggest)

Classic cars and motorcycle (that's probably the biggest)

Music (both performance and in terms of being an audiophile)

Video Games

Sports

I get obsessed with the weirdest shit. I might have OCD, not sure. For some reason my mind applies numbers to the most basic tasks I do on a day-to-day basis. I might have to squeeze the sink handle a certain number of times, or adjust a pillow a certain number of times in order for it to feel "right." I count it out in my head and I just have to do it until it all "feels right" again.

It sounds pretty strange to me when I actually write it out. I guess I've done it for so long it's become a subconscious thing.

I could probably stop doing all of this if I really tried, but it's not doing any harm. It just gets a bit annoying.

I don't think it's strange. I have autism too, and I have periods where I don't have any obsessions. Right now, I don't have any other obsessions besides My Little Pony and Fluttershy.

Uh. Let's see.

Video games.

Modding Skyrim(because I've been having a Skyrim obsession lately ;p.)

Pokemon(I haven't been into Pokemon quite as much recently, but I really do like the series of games, and have since I was little really.)

Music(Listening to it, and playing it, I love the heck out of music)

Singing(Technically this would fit under music, but I felt like mentioning that I quite like singing too.)

I really can't think of anything else honestly. I don't really have a lot, although I think most of this would be classified as atleast a mild obsession(Except maybe Pokemon, because honestly my Pokemon obsession has died down for the moment, will probably return with the gen 3 remakes though ;p.)

I'm been a gamer all my life, played alot of them. However, there are three that I seem to obsess over. World of Warcraft, the Mass Effect series, and Skyrim.

I probably care more about Warcraft lore than actual history (and I like actual history). I've played the Mass Effect series so many times I lost count. Tinkering with Skyrim using mods gives it a near endless amount of replay-ability. I find myself coming back to those games despite whatever new games come out.

I do everything by 5's. I first noticed this when I would go to a drinking fountain and would count the slurps. If I wanted more water, I would do five more. Repetitive tasks feel incomplete if I don't do it by 5's

Until I just beat it today Tales of Xillia 2 though a lot of games video games have become obsessions for me in the past and some others will likely be in the future. Right now though I just started playing South Park and The Stick of Truth and yep, that is my new game obsession. My most notable gaming obsessions though were Star Wars the Old Republic, Ogre Battle 64, too many Zelda games to count and too many Mario games to count to name a few. I have a major history obsession and in more recent years have taken an especially strong interest in American history and of course the ideas of the Renaissance and Enlightenment which lead to things like the constitution and bill of rights.

Quite a few things now

  • Video Games, it's usually the same few that come to mind; Payday 2, World of Tanks and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.
  • An ever-increasing interest in Anime....
  • Keeping my things organized, but not to an OCD extent, or at least I tell myself that.
  • And what is probably the most obvious out of all of them. The Russian Military

Music - I play a lot of instruments and I listen to pretty much every genre. There will even be times when I have a sub-obession with a particular genre or playing style. I'm also really into music theory. I think music can be really interesting to analyse, so I'll occasionally just crack open a theory textbook and read it for fun.

Anime - Not as much of an obsession as music, but I still watch a lot of it. Like, my day will typically consist of going to school, coming home, practicing guitar and watching anime. I still need to work on my DVD collection, though. And I'm thinking of eventually breaking into manga.

My obsessions include:

Animation

I absolutely love animation and cartoons and I'll watch anything from Anime to western cartoons. I'm also not against any cartoons that are popular. Cartoons really bring a lot of emotion, happiness, and inspiration to my life. My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic really brought me a lot of happiness that I lost 3 years ago. I also like drawings.

Pokémon

This is my favorite Video game/Card game series and also my favorite in the monster battling genre. Pokémon still appeals to me because of the simplistic gameplay compared to most other RPG's or monster battling games. I prefer to pick up simple games rather than complex ones.

Extreme Sports

I'm not very good at them but I just like to watch them. I also enjoy extreme sports video games like Wave Race, Tony Hawk, 1080 Snowboarding, etc.

I have a partial interest in video games but mostly Nintendo and PC games. I used to like the Playstation and Xbox brands. I'm not as interested in video games as I used to be.

Pokémon is pretty much my biggest obsession. Cute creatures, nice gameplay and decent stories. I also like drawing. :D

I'm no fan of Pokemon, but I can say that you sir are not the only one in this fandom who is down-right obsessed the game.

Lets see...

Video games is a big one. Mostly on my Xbox 360 with lately Destiny and World of Tanks. I do some minor PC gaming too, but not as much now

Next big obsession is military history, especially the World Wars. I have read books, upon books on WW1 and WW2. I've also read books on other wars throughout history as well, but predominately the World Wars.

I'm also sort of obsessed with pokemon, as a matter of fact. I'm constantly playing pokemon on a daily basis when I'm not writing, so I guess that counts as being an obsession with it. XD

Yeah.

I've noticed it seems to be a trend in this fandom.

I probably care more about Warcraft lore than actual history (and I like actual history).

I'm HUGE into history and back in middle school if I wasn't playing WoW I was on WoWWiki reading about WoW... I know far too much about the history of that game.

I don't consider myself to be obsessed with video games in general.  But - every so often - I will get caught up in this or that game and play until my thumbs become self-aware, turn to me, and ask, "Why?  Why you do this to us?"  Here are some of the games / series that have rendered my thumbs sentient crybabies:

The Elder Scrolls

Rune Factory

Monster Hunter

Polka Mon

Diablo

Kid Icarus: Uprising

Harvest Moon

FFVI / VII

Killer Instinct

Minecraft (or I'm headed there lol)

Super Mario (zero-death runs and 100% completion type stuff)

Others, I'm sure (that's not the title of a game, btw)

Outside of video games, I've been pretty into some of the following things at some point or another:

Anime

Manga

The writings of H.P. Lovecraft

Yu-Gi-Oh! / card collecting in general

Tuna fish

J.S. Bach

Nintendo

Thing is...  I still like all those things lol.  I collect interests; I rarely walk away from anything for good.  Sure I'll experience lulls, but I'm practically guaranteed to summon a Dork Magician again sometime in the future. xD
