rainbow rocks The dazzlings' necklaces

So what we do know so far about them is that they're originally from Equestria (some people think they're changelings, some think they're Flutter ponies) but were banished; they're almost like sirens, hypnotizing and controlling people with their songs, and need more magic from alternate human Equestria to make everyone there adore them

But what about those necklaces they have? One thing that can be said is that they shine when Equestrian Magic is nearby, and the Dazzlings, like Wendigos, feed off the energy caused by hate

While the Dazzlings themselves are interesting, to say the least, I'm wondering about the origins of those necklaces they're wearing. Is anyone else? Personally, with how the Dazzlings use magic and claim people have 'fallen under their spell" in their songs, it'd be interesting to think that the necklaces were given (or stolen?) from a villain also skilled in magic, to have fashioned the jewels on the Dazzling's necklaces to do what they do. Season 4 finale of MLP brought in a G1 villain- Tirek, and shortly afterward, clips of Rainbow Rocks showing off the Dazzlings started popping up. It would be interesting if the Dazzlings were once allies with the G1 Jewel Wizard http://mylittlewiki.org/wiki/Jewel_Wizard, and those jewels around their necks are from Equestria like the Dazzlings were, but eyes of Twikle-eyed ponies that are actually cursed with the Wizard's powers.

A little dark and Morbid for MLP, I know, but hey, so are girls transforming into raging she-demons, and IllumiNeity mind-controlling songs from the Dazzlings. -shrug-

I always just assumed they were like a "magic detector/storage". They could also be a sort of magical adapter, as humans cannot normally use or process Equestrian magic, so it could function as allowing them to "eat" via the gems, as humanity is not compatible with magic in such a way.

The design is also similar to the Alicorn Amulet that Trixie wore. Just some of my little input. But here is something I noticed, they seem good at causing dissent or... discord amongst people. Then feed off of the chaos and fierce competition they cause in people that make them want to prove they are "better" then other people.

I like the theory that they were jailers in Tartarus, and banished by Tirek when he escaped back in S2. The only problem I see is that Tirek should have been too weak to cast any sort of portal spell, or at least you'd think he would be.

but why would they be banished out of Tartatus by Tirek? (and who would've banished them to Tartarus, in the first place? ) And yeah, there is that.

The gems I think are a evil source of magic that allows them to sing. Them by themselves can sing but sound horrible but with the help of the necklace I think that they sing but at the cost of making tension. This is my story of how they got the necklaces.

They were just normal ponies going on day to day but when there was a singing contest in equestria and they knew their voices were terrible. So they went to the Everfree Forest and found these gems embedded in a cave. Digging them out they wore them and won the contest while causing tension so others couldn't perform. The necklaces were cursed with siren magic and forced them to have a siren form. There was also a cost that they had to feed on tension or else they will run out of power and not be able to sing resulting in the gems never working again.

I don't have a clue where those necklaces came from, but one is for sure to me: they're the key here.

First, notice how, when the Sirens get their full power and show up, they come out from those necklaces.
If the Dazzlings were the Sirens themselves, they would transform into Sirens, not just stand there dumb with flashlight eyes.
This could mean that the sirens hide in the magical necklaces and just control the bodies of Dazzlings somehow, or influence their will to do evil, so that they could feed on bad energy. I consider the Sirens as a kind of a parasite which take control of whoever wears the necklace by giving him/her magical powers of manipulating others through singing to make tension and release bad energy. Then they feed on that bad energy and give some left-overs to the carrier, to make him/her feel powerful and continue using the necklace. Similarly to how Alicorn Amulet has influenced Trixie in the "Magic Duel" episode.

Also, the Sirens are somewhat similar to Windigoes in how do they look and how do they operate. They seem to be "spiritual" beings, and they feed on negative energy.

There's also some similarity to Lord Tirek (draining of Magic), but they cannot drain it just like that (as Tirek could); they can only enchant others by their singing to fight with each other and release their negative energy, and only then they can feed on it.

Another thing I wonder is what will happen now, when the necklaces has been broken? Will the Dazzlings die of starvation? :muffins: Where did the Sirens go? They cannot hide in the necklaces anymore. Are they taking over the Dazzlings' bodies now? Or they've been sent to some yet another world?

Impossibru.
It has been already explained in "Rainbow Rocks" that the Sirens has been banished to some other world by Starswirl the Bearded. He lived in the pre-classical era, which means, long before Discord has been stoned and Nightmare Moon's banishment; which means more than 1000 years ago. Lord Tirek has been sent to Tartarus somewhere at that time, too (since his brother was friends with Starswirl the Bearded), but he escaped from Tartarus pretty recently, when Cerberus was not watching him. All that time the Sirens has been already in the Human World.

Edit: Notice that this is a second time (if not third) when the motif of sucking energy from the audience during the mass performances are being shown in MLP: The previous one was this:
