Dawning Demon

Wow that ending...so what do you think happened to the Dazzling's after their humiliating defeat at the hands of the RainBooms? Do you think we will ever see them again? What's your opinion?

ps....their true forms are nasty don't get fooled by their pretty human appearance... :okiedokielokie:

Incoming redemption arc via EQG3.

either that, or the recurring villains for EA.

>tfw someone beat me to a taco tuesday joke, now I have to just go to soul food wednesday at the Defac (and no one seems to get that Taco Tuesday started as a military thing, because DEFAC's serve tacos on tuesday in Iraq and Afghanistan)

I loved seeing them go from full of talent and beautiful singing to pretty much sucking and then running off the stage embarrassed. Also their siren forms were really cool and badass!

I think they also have pony forms? I could be wrong...

I though all the many facial impressions done by Adagio Dazzle in the movie was funny... I think I'm the only one who noticed that she likes being dramatic through her face. :)

You're correct, they do have pony forms, I also loved that Sunset Shimmer had one when she played music with her friends.

Look at my post above. hehehe

I pray that we see them again. They were so perfect.

But yeah, them "running away" was not satisfying in terms of closure. But maybe they left it open to gauge whether or not they can or should come back? Well, I for one hope they return. I loved those sexy girls.

Yeah, them just running off at the end was.....disappointing. I only watched the ending (figured the film would suck, considering how I felt about the first one, so just spoiled it for myself) so I can't judge the whole film. But still, no punishment? I don't get it, did they just forget to add a real conclusion to them after they ran off stage, or were they just being lazy and couldn't be assed to think of anything?

Tho to be fair, without the gems, they can't take over the world, but still.

The Dazzling's ran because they knew Twilight and her friends would blast them with that purify brainwash magic and they would lose who they are.

I get that they didn't get any punishment, nobody knew they did anything wrong. If they were less descrete about their plans, ala Sunset Shimmer turning into a litteral demon, than they would have been caught.

I still don't understand the Time Dialations behind the mirror. The sirens got sent there over a thousand years ago, and only now start doing anything, being about as powerful as someone who just got banished would be.

Another thing I don't get is why they started sucking. I get that they didn't have magical powers any more, but they should have been at least as good as the average Equine.

Yeah, this was puzzling for me as well. Like, they couldn't have started their own band contest and did this? I figured the reason they didn't was because Equestrian Magic wasn't involved. But still, they could've done something similar.

Eh, I enjoyed the hell out of the movie, regardless.

Basically my interpretation, was that they couldn't have done such a thing as they did, because their voices only had their magical properties once Equestrian magic entered into their world.

Before then, they may have been able to sing, but they didn't have any power, so they wouldn't have been able to do anything.

Plus they probably weren't really aware of Canterlot high as a special place anyways beforehand.

As for what happened to them, they ran off, and I assume just went to try and hide out and hope they could do something at another time. But I doubt they'll return in the 2nd movie, it just doesn't seem likely the way things went, with Sunset shimmer it made sense, but not with the dazzlings.

I really hope we'll get to see them again. Either in the spinoff or...ugh...another movie. Let me correct that- in another movie about the PONIES.

I really liked Sonata, and hope that she breaks away from the others and finds a way back to Equestria to try and turn over a new leaf. She didn't seem as evil as Aria and Adagio. So there may be hope for her.

I'm sure they'll return as background characters, and possibly get a few lines, but I somehow doubt they'll get a significant role again, and they may even be forgotten about entirely. I think I heard somewhere that the plan is for the EQG series to run for four movies(though Hasbro does have the power to change that, if it really is their plan). If so, what we have here is the quintessential second part. Whatever happens, this one will most likely feel like small potatoes compared to the final film in this quadrilogy or whatever the word is for a four part series, assuming that's what Hasbro decides to stick with.

To back up the notion of this being a second part in an ongoing series, I would like to point to the way Twilight is now able to travel back and forth between the universes, and the way Sunset Shimmer can no communicate with Twilight. It's a blatantly obvious ploy to render any sequels possible. If we are looking at a second part, it's doubtful that the Dazzlings will have much significance going forward. Sunset Shimmer obviously will, but the Dazzlings come across as simply being a catalyst for advancing the overarching story arc, if indeed there is one. We know that there is a Mane Seven now in the EQG universe, which restores the symmetry the group once had of equal parts Unicorn, Pegasus and Earth Pony, even if it's only in said universe, and Twilight can go back and forth now at will. If it wasn't for the Dazzlings, none of that would have happened. Of course the scene after the credits does act as a foundation for a sequel with or without the Dazzlings. In the long run they're probably not important, unless of course they choose to assist another main villain.

We already know that they're banished from Equestria, so their true forms, where they inatly have their powers, are forever lost to them. From the looks, when they came to the human world, that power, instead of just being absent, was put into the physical gems they wore. Now that those are broken, they're for all intents and purposes normal teenage girls *who can't sing worth shit*. Until if and when they managed to get back to Equestria, where they'd revert to their Siren forms and thusly regain their powers. So, the only way they can really ever be a threat again is if they somehow find a way to bypass Starswirl's banishment spell.

Hello? Of course they'll be returning. They are so cool. Remember when you saw how they picked up their gems? I think that they will probably get another 3 members into their band and yeah beat the Rainbooms once and for all. I have a good voice perhaps I can join them? :)

I don't doubt Adagio will begin obbsessing over trying to recreate the amulets or finding some other means by which to regain her power. As the 'plotting world domination' trope of the group, if any of them is going to stay true to the original plan and try to regain their powers through any means nesscarry, it's going to be her.

Aria, though brooding and often doubting Adagio's methods, also seemed to be fairly up in the game with wanting world adoration genuinely. That said, she's also the pessimist of the group, and might berate Adagio about how there's no hope for regaining their power, so it's a lost cause trying to do so. She could go either way, but from how her character seemed to act, I'm leaning more towards the later.

Sonata. Well, she evolved from Taco Siren into Best Waifu 2014 so, she'll be fine regardless what happens =P

I'm not sure where they live, though they probably live together; if they're not actually sisters then they are at the very least an insperable trio. I am sure however that we will likely be seeing them again. That spin-off show should be starting within the next year or so, and at least one episode has to have them in it. Being the foci villains of the entire second movie, which was largely more positvely recieved than the first one on top of which, I highly doubt we'd never see them again in the upcoming spin-off show.

My headcanon? While Adagio spends day by day trying various means of recreating the Siren Song Amulets, Sonata and Aria take to spending much of their free time online, hidden away at home and laying low for a while from the entire school and town that hates them. This of course leads to a whole world of amusing scenarios.

img-3233194-1-ariablazeplz.png Tch, everyone's fawning over you just because you're the oblivious goofy one. 'Waifu this' and 'waifu that'. 'Taco Siren is best Siren.' Even Adagio for all her bossy attitude seems to have a huge following. Not like I care, though. Who needs fans who will follow and love you without needing to be under some spell, right? Not me...

img-3233194-2-sonataduskplz.png Awww, it's okay Aria! You can be MY waifu! img-3233194-3-biggrin.gif
