gaming Why're the Naruto games better than DBZ games?

I am not a Naruto fan anymore like I was in 2006. I know though that the Naruto games have always rivaled the DBZ games(I am excluding shovel wear games and Clash of Ninja, they're not fighters) I always loved playing the Ultimate Ninja games and even Rise of Ninja was a great experiment. DBZ's gold standard for me will always be Budokai 3, Legacy of Goku II and Tenkaichi 3. But the newer Naruto games look better and more like an accurate description of how they fight in the show. Ultimate Tenkaichi and Battle of Z don't look like DBZ and have horrible fight mechanisms. Why is this?

The last DBZ that was at best decent was DBZ: Raging Blast 2. Good graphics, but overall just a bland Budokai Tenkaichi rip-off.

There's no way Naruto's games match DBZ's games. Especially Budokai 3 and Budokai Tenkaichi 3. Those are gold.

I know the older DBZ games are superior. I don't like Naruto, but Ultimate Ninja and the brand new one are still excellent fighting games. I thought RB2 was decent, but it wasn't a story driven game and it didn't evolve the fighting mechanics.

To me it's because at this point they're basically remaking the same game with worse mechanics, unpolished feel, and lackluster campaign. And since there's hardly any new material for the series anymore(the only one within recent years was Battle of the Gods), they're usually limited with what they can work with unless they decide to come up with an original story(though 99% of the time they're just lame "what-if" scenarios)

You can't compare the new Naruto games to the new DBZ games. They're all awful now. Especially Battle of Z. I bought RB2 just to play as Hatchiyack, cause he's awesome. I'm not even going to bother on buying Battle of Z just to play as Beerus.

Budokai 3(Also Infinite World which is DLC before DLC lol) cannot be beaten in terms of quality. I love Tenkaichi 3 for it's roster, beams and 3d fighting arena. But Budokai 3 actually takes SKILL to play, something fighting games don't have anymore. Getting a 100 hit combo in Budokai 3 meant you were a master at the game.
