They opened their eyes again, for a time they've awaited in the box.

 

They don't know how they arrived, they don't even know each other. One thing they know is that they are together. The dark walls of the box around them cover from the cool breeze in the air.

Laying about with the filly trio are the items: a bag of muffins, a stuffed rabbit animal, and a cello bow.

The tiny, pastel yellow pegasus filly woke with a quiet yawn, large turquoise eyes opening to survey her surroundings after her nap. Of course, it was still the same; dark walls, and little else aside from a few objects and two other ponies her size. She had taken a liking to the stuffed rabbit, for it seemed familiar to her somehow, so she cuddled with it as she lied curled up in the corner of the box.

 

She was comfortable in the safety of the box, but at the same time it was hardly a suitable living environment for a filly her size. She didn't seem to interact much with her box mates; she was content just lying with her stuffed bunny.

One of Derpy's eyes looks at the muffin, and the other at the closes pony beside her. She tried to walk around but keep falling over. She tried many times, then started crying because she couldn't walk very well. She keep crying over and over, still sad from falling.

A grey earth pony mare groggily opened her eyes, looking about her unfamiliar surroundings. Darkness surrounded her on all sides, all she could see where two other things that looked like her and several items between them.

 

She looked at the stuffed bunny for a moment before stretching a hoof towards it; one of the others leaned in an snatched it from her reach. Distraught, the mare withdrew her hoof, scared by the object of interest being stolen from her. Redirecting her attention she looked at a long stick in front of her.

She snatched up the item before it had a chance to get taken and curled herself around it. The object wasn't comfortable but it would do, another creature in the box began wailing, causing her ears to fold back. As the wind from outside the box peirced the filly's coat and bit her skin she let out a short cry and brought her object closer to her body, wishing that the cold would go away.

The wind continued the blistering attack, they could hear the sound of wooshing vehicles passing by not releasing of their surrounding area.

Domingo was making his way home from his day job. The sun beginning to set as the neighborly traffic died down.

His urban area wasn't the best quality, but it was the best he and his fiancée could afford.

 

Along the way he notices about a large box sitting along the street. Carefully he approaches, curious about it.

 

The fillies can hear the approaching steps, the box opens and they look up to see the face of a young adult human, his brown medium hair and expressive hazel eyes being his notable features.

 

He let's out a surprised gasp at the sight.

 

"Oh my... " he stares at them in complete shock

The little yellow pegasus almost immediately seemed to feel guilty for taking the stuffed rabbit when another wanted it too. Her grip on the toy relaxed, and she gently nudged it towards the gray filly, as though it were a peace offering of sorts. But she quickly had the stuffed animal in a tight hold again when her other box mate started crying, somewhat startled by the noise. Not knowing what else to do, she simply withdrew into her little corner of the box again.

 

Her gaze was immediately turned upwards when the very ceiling of the box she had come to know as her living area fell away, only to be met with the curious gaze of some... strange thing.

 

She didn't know what it was. For all she knew, it could have been a monster come to take her away. She started cowering in the corner, her tiny body quivering as tears gathered in her eyes. Though in spite of how frightened she seemed, the only sounds that escaped her were soft whimpers as she hugged the stuffed bunny for safety.

When Derpy saw the box open, she tried to scatter to a corner, falling over many times before getting to one. She curled up in a little ball trying to hide herself for the strange thing that opened the box, she tried to be quiet, but she still had little sniffles from crying.

   The grey filly remained curled around the cello bow for what felt like forever, she was lost in her own simple thoughts. Her concentration was broken when the whole world started to shake, she scooted into a corner to hide. The top of their enclosure opened up, revealing a strange creature that wasn't like the others near her. The pony uncovered her face and looked at it with interest.

Domingo continued looking about at the trio of adorable fillies before him.

His disbelief pondered but he dismissed it. They were real. This was incredible, but how?

He noticed they were shivering, two crying a bit.

 

Feeling sympathy he removes his brown jacket and slowly lowers it down to cover the three fillies.

 

"How on earth did you get here?" He whispers to himself.

A little squeak escaped the yellow pegasus filly when the jacket was laid upon them, accidentally letting the material cover her headfirst; the jacket was more than big enough for the three of them, and now she was entirely covered, all but for her tiny pink curl of a tail.

 

She whimpered again, wriggling about as she tried to orient herself with everything all dark. Finally, she managed to poke her head out from under the jacket, again looking to the stranger with wide eyes. Now that she realized the jacket was shielding her and her box mates from the chill of the weather outside, and this weird thing had given them it, she decided that he might not be so bad after all - at least, he hadn't tried to hurt them yet.

     The little filly was wary of this creature as it took off its coat and placed it on them. Though once it was placed over her she calmed down, the fabric shielded her from the cold wind and kept her warm. Releasing the bow she wiggled around in order to stick her head out and look at the creature again. Upon peeking out the filly caught sight of the yellow one again, she opened her mouth to speak but only inaudible nonsense came out.

     

     Giving up, the pony shifted herself to look at the thing looking at her. It was really big and smelled funny, she stuck a hoof out to touch it but she just couldn't reach.

Domingo smiles, thinking they realize they don't see him as hostile.

Seeing Octavia reaching up, he feels a little more bolder and reaches his hand down slowly. His hand gently touching her hoof.

"That'll keep you three warm.

He looks about watching for any bystanders.

"Can't let you freeze out here."

Derpy started moving around to understand what going on. She couldn't get her head out from under the jacket, then she struggled again. Derpy made a squeak so that the thing, what ever it it, knows she's there trying to free her head from the coat. Derpy still moved around trying to free herself.

Having the creature touch her hoof gave the filly the satisfaction she wanted, making her squeal in joy. Dispite the odd appearance of this thing she loved the attention she was receiving from it. Looking at the other side if the box the filly saw something stuck under the fabric that covered them, she wined nervously, not knowing it was only Derpy.

((OOC: Note that I like to headcanon that pegasi are capable of making some birdlike noises at times, most notably younger ones.))

 

The little pegasus's ears perked when she heard the gray Earth filly trying to communicate. She responded with a soft coo, a sound resembling that which a dove might make, though the noise had a curious tone to it. She stared at the other filly for a few moments before turning her attention again to the strange being, watching as he reached to make contact with her box mate. Even his... hoof? Whatever it was, that alone looked to her almost as big as her own self. But still, the being seemed friendly, so she wasn't too intimidated.

 

Then her focus shifted once more, looking wide-eyed at the wiggling lump underneath the jacket. She seemed uncertain whether it was safe or not, leaning towards it only to withdraw again.

Domingo's eye give a widen response as he smiles happily seeing Octavia respond in Joy.

Turning attention to Derpy noting her situation he reaches down carefully pulling her head out from the sleeve and out from under his thick jacket.

"Just... Wow." He whispers still feeling ecstatic from discovering the trio.

From his pocket he takes out his smart phone and dials on a number. He places it onto his ear...

"Hey dear, you know that intersection between Marry Ann Avenue and Miluawakke? Yeah that one... Yeah I got surprise for you. I need you to pick me up here first. Please hurry. Thanks babe." He says and hangs up.

Derpy had a smile on her face after being free, trying to focus both of he eyes at the creature, but her left eye wouldn't lesson for long. Her other eye spotted the yellow pegasus near by, Derpy didn't really do anything, she was just there looking around now.

As the coat was lifted to reveal the other pegasus filly she breathed a small sigh of relief. The large creature took out an item and began talking into it, prompting the filly to communicate with it again yet random garbling sounds are all that came out. Noticing that she wasn't making any progress, the earth pony turned on her side and observed the yellow one. Despite having little understanding of her predicament the pony felt a connection with this one, it make her feel good in a odd way she didn't quite know how to figure out.

A sound of curiosity escaped the yellow filly when the little gray pegasus was revealed, though she relaxed once she recognized her box mate. Her turquoise gaze met with a lone golden eye, the other apparently focused on the strange being. Then she glanced back up at said being when he pulled out something and started talking. Also thinking that was a cue to communicate, she too tried to talk, only for a chirping sound to come out.

 

She turned and then looked at the gray Earth filly, having felt the other's eyes on her. A moment passed quietly before she gave a little smile. There was indeed a connection of sorts, she could feel, though inexplicable it was.

     Despite only being awake for a short period of time the filly was already feeling the effects of exhaustion, deciding there was nothing important going on she brought herself back under the jacket once more. Inside the dark space she clutched the cello bow and began to drift off to sleep.

After letting out a tiny yawn, the yellow pegasus filly also decided that a nap would be good, since there really wasn't much happening aside from the excitement of the strange being showing up (which had already since passed). Hugging the stuffed bunny once more, she curled up underneath the jacket to nap near her gray box mate.

Derpy smiled when she was petted on the head, she thought that this was amazing. She tried her best to stay away but she started nodding off, even though she wanted to see more fascinating things. Eventualy she fell asleep, even though she didn't want to.

With careful and steady care Domingo had successfully brought upon the fillies into his home. His fiancée, a short slim ginger blonde mixed hair female, Susan enter into the decrepit home. It was a decent home but could be better.

They lived along the ends of a near run down neighborhood.

Not much neighbor activity.

Domingo gently rests the fillies onto the fluffy couch.

"I need to get to the animal clinic." She says to him giving a kiss.

"I'll watch over them. Bye dear." He whispers back as Susan departs.

He takes a seat on the near by love seat observing the cute little fillies .

The yellow pegasus filly woke first, slowly opening her eyes. With a squeaky yawn, she stretched her limbs, her tiny wings also stretching with the motion, before she looked around. She was nestled in between her box mates, and resting on something that was much softer and more comfortable than that box.

 

Then she scanned the room curiously, noticing that it also was different from the box - a lot bigger, that much as certain. And it all just looked different. Sitting nearby was the strange being that had found them, and she stared at him, tilting her head slightly. Had he brought them here? Where was 'here'?
