Scenario: Protecting the Mane 6

Lol- I couldn't think of a better title. The plan of this thread is to have a more serious tone.

You're in your living room or whatever (watching TV or something) and notice movement out of the corner of your eye. You look and HOLY $#!% it's one of the mane 6 just randomly standing there as a living creature with their same personality (and looks for the most part) from the show. They do not look like a normal "real" pony/horse. They're just as surprised to be there as you are to see them.

 

AND NO- THEY'RE NOT JUST ALL SMILES HAPPILY RUSHING UP TO GREET YOU.

 

Small talk is probably the least of their concerns at the moment. Put yourself in their "hooves" for a second. They don't know where they are or why, They also DON'T know who, let alone what you are. (Equestria Girls doesn't count please, LOL)

 

So what would you do? How would you calm them down (if even needed)? Let's say they end up stuck with you for a few weeks before Celestia somehow comes to the rescue- how would things go?

Something to keep in mind- our world is far different than theirs and they haven't a clue. If you're not careful they WILL get taken away and probably locked up for study and/or killed and dissected. I'm not saying that in a joking/sarcastic way either.

 

I'm hoping to see some thought out responses on what you think would happen- and it's affect on the pony over the few weeks.

 

*EDIT*   I would approach the situation as a harboring a fugitive type matter.

 

I'll post my other thoughts (and why I came up with this idea) later on- I don't want this initial post too long.

1. I would pass out.

2. I would be the happiest person on Earth.

Probably a siezable amount of panic. I doubt I would be in any possition to play the gracious host. There would probably be a pony (Fluttershy) and a Steve (me) running around in a blind panic. But I suppose after my heart came out of my throat my sphincters had relaxed, I might try coaxing her out of whatever crevice she had forced herself into. Then maybe try and find whatever inter-dimentional tear she'd fallen through and send her back. As much as I love to be chums with a real life Fluttershy, I wouldn't want to doom her to a life where she's the only one of her kind in existance. I would also try to get her to teach me "The Stare".

I've had more than my own fair share of being surprised out of my mind, so much that I hardly reacted when something jumped at me (except spiders, the little demon). It's very likely that I'll just walk out mumbling 'I'm so done'

I got the idea for this topic originally because I was thinking about someone I know who had a pet raccoon. The key word is HAD- LOL.

 

I think Pinkie would be the least affected by her spontaneous new situation compared to the others. She'll probably be all like "OOHH, Is this supposed to be like one of Spike's comic books- and what are yooooou supported to be?"

 

I think her being around would be like living with a raccoon. She would probably get bored and get into everything and would probably want to know what things were all the time. You couldn't let her outside for safety reasons- so it would probably be hell after a couple days.

 

Now if she could be kept occupied by baking...

Okay seriously, I'll probably first sit down which will make me seem friendlier, then after some quiet time and chat time I'll just tell her to take refugee in my closet until princess Celestia comes. My closet is relatively big so should have enough room to give her a small cozy shelter :3

I would commit myself to an asylum.  Not even joking, man.  That would be the last straw.  I'd get one look at that pony and not even panic.  I'd just throw up my hands and be all "Screw this, I'm off to the funny farm."

As for the others-

 

Fluttershy, Applejack, or Rarity would probably get more depressed as the days went on. Rarity's drama would intensify as the days go by too.

 

Twilight would be the worst. If she seemed like she didn't know what was going on when she appeared I would probably get as far the hell away from there as fast as I could. She would probably completely lose it as time went on and be extremely dangerous if her horn worked. I sure wouldn't want to be around if that happened. She would probably come to the conclusion that I had something to do with it since I know about her somehow.

 

I think Rainbow Dash would get extremely anxious and bust out right through a window after a couple days- never to be seen again- except on the news.

I for one would be speechless, seeing Fluttershy herself in my living room. We'd probably be staring at each other, frozen still for a few seconds.Or she might run off scared to hide, being in a totally unknown world/place. So then I'd try to coax her out, offering and giving her a gentle hug, showing her I mean her no harm.. eventually calming her nerves...letting her settle down, in this strange new world. I know she'd be curious, as to what I exactly was. I could only imagine the questions she'd be asking me, it'd be her meeting Spike all over again, only to a much higher degree.

 

Once all has been established, and we've both talked and answered several questions, and we've both come to terms we're not crazy, and that she's somehow ended up in our universe. I'd reassure Fluttershy that Celestia or her friends, would be making a rescue attempt, of some sort. I'd tell her I'd be her friend and keep her safe in the mean time. I would then show her my room....I know she might be ab it shocked, seeing all the merchandise of her I have. She would see the Shrine I have of her, the thousands of pics I have of her on my PC...Knowing her she'd be like "Wow, you must really like me!" I'd be blushing so hard, as I answered "Well,...to be honest, I love you,Fluttershy..You're my most favourite pony." Then I'm sure she'd blush as well, hearing this "human" saying they loved her. She'd probably think it's cute, and hug me. I'd warmly return the hug, holding her, feeling her warmth.

 

Weeks would pass, Fluttershy and I would grow closer and closer as friends, quickly becoming best friends. Doing whatever around the house, keeping out of any kind of trouble. We'd walk to our backyard, since it's got a privacy fence, and let her enjoy the birds, squirrels and chipmunks. I would've kept her as quiet as possible, from the public. I'd let her sleep in my bed. I'd brush her mane and tail, brush her coat...I'd truly take care of her...Though, deep down, I would know it wasn't going to last forever...that one day Celestia or her friends would eventually come....

LOL- I would check to make sure I wasn't dreaming first- as long as whatever pony who showed up isn't running around crazy like the CMC in the Stare Master episode. I would be too panicked to think properly.

 

If they aren't acting all crazy I would get up and say "hold on there for just a minute" and I would go outside, pop my car's hood and start going over every inch of the engine bay - or examine something else complicated. This is how I tell if I'm dreaming or not (SERIOUSLY I'm not kidding). Two times I can remember I've "woken up/become aware" inside a dream because of something physically impossible that I've noticed.

 

 If I was in a dream I'd go along with it and offer to make a cup of tea for whatever pony it was.

 

However if it wasn't a dream I'd probably start freaking out- in a not happy way.

My room's wallpaper kinda looks like cloudsdale and the carpet looks kind of what you might think a cloud would if you could stand on it. So basically they'd think at first they were in cloudsdale and I was some strange creature. (I use them, because I don't think I could pick which I'd like to be there most. My 3 faves are Applejack, Rainbow Dash, and Fluttershy all tied for first place)

 

First I'd establish trust with a few simple questions after introducing myself. Then I'd begin to explain where they were and that they were in a different world. Instead of tellling them they are fictional characters in a show, I would tell them that through a scrying glass humans have observed their world to learn more about friendship and all that. Continue to explain, tellling them that most humans would be terrified of them no matter what they do and that humans become dangerous when scared. Just enough to frighten them into not trying to meet other humans for fear of them being abducted and dissected. Over next few weeks I would feed and take care of them a bit like a pet and keep up pleasant conversation. I'd teach them about the better side of humans as to not to corrupt them with things like bloody warfare and gangs and such.  When Celestia would show up, hopefully I will have convinced the pony to take me with to Equestria (and hopefully transform me into a proper pegasus or alicorn)

Then talk to her about what happened to her on why she is here?

I would probably ask  someone I can trust to tell me whether or not they can see what I can see. If they do, I will try my best to keep them safe until we figure out how to get them back to their homeworld. If they don't, then I'm going to call my therapist imediatly.

I'd stumble to bed. Obviously I've become delusional and stress has finally gotten the better of me. If the vision persists into the morning, the pony before me is real.

 

If that is the case, chances are we've both calmed down a bit and we'll try to piece together exactly what the heck is going on.

I'd probably either pass out or scream in surprise, since it makes no sense for an animated pony to suddenly appear in my living room. Another thing I might do if I'm really tired is just assume it's a dream or something... but I dunno.

 

In any case, I'd likely be too afraid to talk to the pony and instead I'd lock her in a room while she's there. It probably depends on what pony it is though; RD would be much different than Fluttershy in this situation.
