Hmmm....I am not surprised by seeing a sequel given the huge success of the original, but the trailer AND the short time after the first game's release, it honestly looks like a cash grab.

I was not really into the first game, I loved the atmosphere but the execution just did not do that part justice. It has a lot of potential, definitely. However...I don't know if this sequel will hit that potential at all. It looks more like DLC for the first game.

Well he did the same thing with his other game too, and that wasn't even popular I think it's more like he sees ways of improving it and instead of just patching the first game he wants to build it over from scratch.

Because every game needs a sequel, right?

Ya know, considering all the health and safety violations Freddy Fazbear's Pizza went through in the first game, and how they were forced to shut down by the end of the year (whatever year that was, most likely 1990 as the minimum wage was around $4 then), I doubt they'd be allowed to re-open, even if the new animatronics are supposedly safety'd so they won't go attacking people at night. This game seems more like a cashgrab than anything, riding on how hugely successful Five Nights at Freddy's and its super spooky creepypasta-tier characters and story were.

Oh, and removing the doors and instead giving you a Freddy mask... everyone complained about how the doors took up power for whatever reason so this must be what people wanted, right? Although Foxy lunging at the player at the end of that trailer actually does seem kinda cool... kinda.

It doesn't look like he is starting from scratch though, it just looks like he is putting more locations in and adding maybe one or two new mechanics. WHICH, could be cool, so I won't completely dismiss the game just yet. It could work, it just kinda looks like a cash grab given how fast he is already wanting to release a sequel.

Well, Pokemon is basically the same thing every time with a few minor changes to gameplay and a bunch of new sprites, so this could be just as successful (relatively speaking). If a game is good, a sequel should improve on what the first game lacked in and nothing more. Don't fix what ain't broke, right?

I've never played FNaF, but I do enjoy watching other people play it. Especially when they scream like little girls.

I suppose, though I just never thought the first game was all that good. It has a good premise with a lot of potential, I just did not think the game captured that well. So that's where we differ there. I like the idea of relying on tension, but they also relied kinda heavily on cheap jump scares that really lose their impact fast.

I am unsure if I get the question entirely, but as Duff said, I don't think there is a flash version that exists. It actually seems like a type of flash game though, seems made for it.

There is no flash version, but there is a version for iOS and Android. Based on how the game has 9 minutes of gameplay per night (that gets artificially extended by the game's artificial difficulty) it seems most suited for a phone or tablet game.

I am pretty sure that this is not going to be DLC. And the release date is actually supposedly in 2015, so don't criticize the game yet. I am personally very excited to see others play it before actually trying it myself, because I am wimpy.
