My thoughts on this immediately turn to "GTFO MY FANDOM YOU LOUSY DEGENERATE". See, this is why the internet hates bronies and why the word "brony" in itself is quickly turning into a synonym for "evil pervert". The Rule 34 is bad enough, but people acting out like this IN PUBLIC is where I have to speak up and say "bronies, look at this and tell me how this reflects on us".

Now, this fellow could be mentally disabled. He could have some kind of social disorder. But that's beside the point. Even most autistic people know that it's necessary to not do overtly sexual things in public with a pony toy that you didn't even pay for. Worse, anti-bronies have all the ammo they need to point at us and say "See! The fandom is being taken over by paedophiles and perverted man-children! Protect the children!" It also doesn't help that the fan character in the episode "Trade Ya" has Rule 34 of him despite the show's producers and staff asking that it not happen. Seriously, guys, they asked you to do ONE THING and you were too freaking selfish to do them a solid.

Florida is pretty wide open when it comes to public records (I live there and researched this and was waiting for someone to post this topic), and the 'item' in question was not a FiM Pony, but a generic stuffed horse.

I'm doubtful this is a brony.  It's just some nut job who grabbed a "...a stuffed horse toy..." and had some fun with it.  Even if the guy were to say he was a brony, I would have serious doubts about it.  He's just some weirdo that probably "gets off" by doing weird stuff in public while wanting to get caught.

It's people like that that make fandoms seem bad it could be something mental or he though he was being funny either way it's doing no good for the bronies.

I actually heard about this, but somehow it just flew out of my head. I suppose that it's a good thing.

I would've shared it if I'd remembered, strange of me to forget. I mean, it's kind of hard to forget that sort of thing.

That is exactly my point. Even if it turned out the guy wasn't really a brony, it's still something th anti-bronies are going to latch on to. It sounds like he is one, though.

I hope I never come across that kind of imagery... ugh...

I feel like Sunset Shimmer looking back on my past self. Why did I used to clop? I don't know, but I'm done with it! I've been nothing but better since I started putting in the effort to quit, too.

I was wondering when someone was going to bring this story up. When this story was brought up during a livestream, the chat exploded with people blaming bronies or condemning the fandom as a whole. Granted, this happens anytime anything involving a horse is brought up and this seems to be the case here. It doesn't specifically say it was an MLP figure, just that it was a generic stuffed horse.

Still doesn't make it any less nasty.

How ironic that his last name is Johnson... :umad:

Seriously, though, that article says zippo about bronies, or even MLP toys. Not every stuffed horse = MLP merchandise, nor does the fact that the stuffed animal he chose to do sassy things with was a horse necessarily mean that the guy is a brony.

At least make sure it's legitimately something to do with the fandom first, before you blow it out of proportion. Advice suitable for the whole world, I guess.

Let's hope this obviously mentally unwell person gets the psychiatric treatment they need.

The question I ask is, why would somebody do that in the middle of the shop?

If I wanted to use a plushie for that purpose (which I don’t see the appeal of but anyways), if I did I would at least go to the toilets and do it, or at least pay or shoplift the toy and have the fun at home.

I'm not innocent of stuff I've done in supermarkets to be honest, it never involved stealing kids toys or whatever but I always went to the toilets because I'm not an idiot.......well ok but I'm not quite as much of an idiot as that guy!

The Middle of the shop???!!!! SERIOUSLY!

I want to make a joke but I don't think i should lol. But on a serious note all I have to say  is, how come he didn't just buy it and you know...take care of his urges at home? And putting it back after skeeting all in it, wtf???

If it was a pony toy though my reaction is wryyyyyy!???

This is gonna make us look bad :(

(also the post above me made me lmao so hard, good stuff)

Well, this is one heck of a post to wake up to. At least it got me laughing at how ridiculous it is.

People have pointed out that it wasn't necessarily and MLP toy, just a stuffed horse in general. He's probably not a brony, but even if he was...so what? It's not like the show caused it, he was probably already prone to do something like this before anyway. Sure, it might make us look bad, but that's gonna happen no matter what. Some people will literally latch onto anything to try and make fun of us, just ignore them. Their opinions on us liking a television show are unimportant.

Also, you brought up the R34 of that guy from "Trade Ya"...You do realize only some people did that right? It's not like every single brony in existence sat down and drew it. This fandom is pretty big, it's filled with lots of different kinds of people. We can't just control them all or anything, that's not how it works.

Don't correlate people who like rule 34 with a single guy masturbating in a toy store.

Thanks.

Why not? You're both having the same effect on the fandom: Rule 34 fans are splattering pornographic content all over a cartoon that was originally intended for young children and which young children still watch. The pervert mentioned in the OP is performing an act of public indecency which will most certainly be linked to other (though admittedly less graphic) acts of public sexual dysfunction. (Examples: attempted child luring at conventions, that weirdo who claims to be married to a plush Twilight Sparkle, etc.) Whether you like it or not, you're all contributing to the destruction of bronies' public image.

You want porn? Go and look at nude human beings like everyone else. Cartoon ponies are not sexual beings, nor are they meant to be. I honestly think there should be a moratorium on clop.

I hope I never come across that kind of imagery... ugh...

I'm proud of you, son.

Honestly, nobody should be concerned by this.

1. No mention of FiM or bronies anywhere in this story

2. Society already hates us anyways so what else are they gonna do? I have already seen us being called horse f***ers on the internet (seriously) so that insult would be nothing new.

3. What does Rule 34 have to do with some random guy getting funky with a stuffed horse?

4. Being a Brony does not equal perfection either.

5. Haters will latch onto it, so? They latch on to anything to hate us. Again, nothing new. Doesn't make it less pathetic, but it is now common.

This story doesn't bother me in the slightest. I remember seeing a story a long time ago about a supposedly autistic person doing a school shooting. I am autistic too, that story doesn't affect me in the slightest either.

That's not the point. The point is the show staff specifically asked bronies one little favour. ONE. Yet some of them out there thought "forget that, Imma draw me some PORN" because they were too bucking selfish to care about anything but their own wretched self-gratification. It's a common symptom among bronies and it's one of the reasons why the internet hates us (and it's a reason why some of the hatred is justified).

I don't care what show it is, MLP or not, it will have R34 floating somewhere around the internet.

and asking people to not make it will not help.

its like a youtuber asking the viewers to not leave any negative comments, trust me it's gonna happen.

as for the man and the toy, Jeric already said that the toy was a Non-Mlp related horse toy and I'm inclined to believe him.

 furthermore, that man is just gross.... I don't care what kinks you have... at least buy it and go home before you defile it.

he was probably high... or has some kind of mental problems. idk.

Alright...You just described a problem with the entire human race. Every single group, fandom, religion, political party, whatever has people that are selfish, or don't care about others. It's not a "Common symptom" among bronies, it's a common symptom among everyone.

also, why should we be worried how other people see us?

it's not like they can stop us from watching the show, I think we're just a little tired of getting hate in places like youtube and

sometimes twitter... I know I am. but you know what? it doesn't matter! just ignore them.

if you don't add to their hate, they can't really add more.

their going to think what they want anyway so why should we bother giving the the enjoyment of putting us down?

IGNORE THEM!

Have you ever heard the phrase "don't feed the trolls"?
