A variation of our 'A Storm in a clear Blue sky' role play. In this version, Storm Strafe never makes it out of the hospital. At her funeral, Blue meets her polar opposite cousin, Silver Belle. Eventually a romance stirs up between the two.

http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/silver-belle-r7259 Here is her cousin.

Storm Strafe had died of alcohol poisoning and a funeral planned. The entire thing had been arannged by her 'Old Man, Dusk Shade. A small white mare was off to the side sticking by Dusk Shade to keep herself hidden terrified that somepony would ask her to say something about Storm Strafe in front of Everyone. Sure it was a small group bit she'd be the center of attention.

*Blue sat off near the middle and to the far right, not trying to be noticed by Storm's family, friends, or anypony else. He just wanted to say his last farewells and go home. He had taken the entire next week off from work and his boss had no hard feelings about it, he understood. He looked around and saw Dusk Shade, still looking the same, but noticed a white Unicorn around his age, that he'd never seen. Probably a relative, but he looked back down at his hooves and sighed as tears formed in his eyes again.*

Silver Belle looked around at the other ponies and saw her band mates standing together with Aces who had made a new guitar for the funeral to bury with her, an acoustic designed to resemble an angel's harp. She had no tears left to cry. She had cried her tear ducts dry for days after hearing Storm had died. "Dusk Shade.... Why didn't you save her... You've manipulated death before....", she asked quietly only to silenced by his glare. "I cannot play favourites with life and death... This isn't a game", was all he said.

*Blue put his had in his hooves and silently let his tears run down his face.* "Why... Why did I have to be so weak. I could have saved her, I could have stopped her from harming herself, but. I couldn't." *He mumbled to himself, taking in another sob of depression. The death had hit him hard.*

Silver Belle walked the long way around the group of ponies talking so she cold get to the casket that was really more of a death throne considering how much Dusk Shade had spent on it. She knelt down by it and whispered a silent goodbye and slinked back around the group.

*Blue looked at the ponies, going up and saying their goodbyes. He hadn't done so yet, but he wanted to make sure that there was no one around when he says his goodbyes, wanting some privacy. He silently sat there, waiting for the others to shuffle out so he could say his farewell.*

After a while ponies except for Dusk Shade, Silver Belle, Aces High and a tall white mare that seemingly appeared from thin air at Dusk Shade's side filtered out and away, her band mates leaving instruments behind, the last gift they could give her for all that she had given them. Glitch had left the band when she died, moving back to Detrot. Dusk Shade, Storm's cousins and the white mare were talking in a small circle a ways away so nopony cold hear them.

*As He noticed that no one was paying attention to the casket, Blue went up to it and looked down at Storm's body. She looked peaceful, at ease. He felt the tears coming back to him.* "I'm so sorry Storm, I'm so sorry." *He cried silently. He gave the lifeless body a small peck on the forehead and took of his signature hoodie and placed it in the casket, right on top of her chest, folded.* "You meant the world to me, and now you're gone. At least you're at peace now. Thank you for everything you gave me, thank you." *He gave her one last peck before exiting, head hung low.*

The white mare exited in smoke after a nod and bow to Dusk Shade. Aces High went to the casket and dropped in his hat necklace and earrings in. "The one bet i couldn't win....", he said walking away from the forest. Dusk evaporated into mist that hung around the few remaining ponies. Silver Belle found that she still had tears to cry after all and broke down as she went to leave.

*After exiting, Blue found himself wandering around the Everfree Forest again, and found himself in the same oasis. The very same oasis when his life had changed. He went up to the edge of the water and pondered on his memories. How she told him about the factory, how she had made the clouds and rained water on them both, how beautiful she looked in the rain, how they shared their first hug. It was too much for him to handle, and he finally broke down into uncontrollable sobs.*

Silver finally managed to convince herself to stop crying, that it wouldnt bring Storm back. She started walking through the forest to get to the train station so she could return to Canterlot when she heard  Blue sobbing and weaved through the trees to see what was wrong as she didnt know he had been at the funeral, she had not seen him.

*As He was calming down from his sobs, now becoming small whispers and sniffles, he heard rustling from behind him in the trees. He turned his head to see who had come followed him * "H-hello? Is a-anybody t-there?" *He called out in a shaky voice, tears still going down his cheeks.*

She didnt realize she had been that noisy. "Uh...are you okay", she asked as she walked out from the trees, staying a good four feet away. "Iheard you crying and I kind of figured you might need some help or something....", she said quietly scuffing her hoof in the dirt.

*He recognized her from the funeral, as the mare who was sitting with Dusk Shade. He wiped his eyes with his hoof.* "Oh, I know you. You were at the funeral with Dusk." *He said, with a sniff.* "No, it's alright, I'm just letting out my emotions, from when Storm-" *He cut himself off, as he started to cry again, not uncontrollable sobs, but quiet sobs.*

She nodded, trying to piece together exactly who he was to storm. "Forgive me...but, who are you", she asked, knowing it wold sound much ruer than she had intended. She didnt mean to seem rude, but why he was at the funeral made no sense....then again, Dusk Shade did have a rather large family with relatives she never she had in attendance.

*He gained his composure again and took some deep breaths to calm himself.* "Oh, sorry. I never met any of her family. My name is Blue, I was-* "He choked on his breath and took another deep breath.* "I was Storm's coltfriend." *He sighed, trying to hold back the tears forming in his eyes.*

That hit her like a ton of bricks. She didn't know Storm had had a coltfriend at the time. "I'm sorry for your loss, then...Blue.." she said quietly."Wait...if you have never met any of her family, how do you know who her 'Old Man', Dusk Shade is", she asked slightly confused.

*His mind flooded from the memories of them together, going to see Dusk Shade for the first time, then him running through the forest to get him to stop her Windigo from taking over. He shook his head to stop thinking about her.* "Its a long story, but she introduced me to him and I had to fetch him when... she was controlled by a windigo. Other then that, he's the only family of hers I met." *He said voice slightly shaky.*

Her eyes widened. "She told you about the Windigo in her head....my cousin always was the type to brag about something like that", she said with a sigh. "So you know everything....do you how old Dusk Shade is" she asked, curious if they had told him knowing Dusk probably had.

*He nodded at her question about her ancestors age.* "Yes, it was one of my questions I asked him when I first met him, and it certainly surprised me how it is possible. But afterwards, it seems that everything is possible no matter how good or bad." *He said, letting his head hang.*

She nodded and stopped asking questions, knowing it was only making things harder on him. "I'm sorry...i didn't mean to...press on an old bruise.....or, whatever....i stepped on or opened up" she said trying to keep her ind off of 'Storm's death. "I know I cant possibly know how you feel", she said sarcastically, which she never did, but Storm's dying had hit her hard. Storm may not have been close to her family but Silver Belle was an exception. They were always close and got together whenever they got the chance.

*He shook his head and sighed.* "No, it's fine. You were way closer to her then I ever was probably, being family and all." *He said, looking at the floor, then proceeded to lay down.* "This spot. This is where we became friends at first then something more. This is where it started. This is how I destroyed everything." *He said quietly, letting more tears out.*

She shook her head at him blaming himself. "It wasn't meeting you that got my cousin killed....if it was, Dusk Shade would have killed you by now", she said flatly but at the same time, she felt sorry for him. "Oh...uh..my name is Silver Belle, not that it really matters", she said quietly.

"Just, in the grand scheme of things, it is kind of my fault." *He said, poking at the ground with a hoof, wiping his eyes with his forearm.* "And it's nice to meet you Silver, I'm sorry we have to meet during such... circumstances." *He said trying to be polite and courteous.*

"Ponies die everyday.... You can't just go through life expecting everything to okay", she said wiping her own tears away. "Storm lived everyday as if it was her last, take that fact with you.... Remember it, and your memories of her will be happy, at least", she turned to leave. "I am really sorry to do this but I need to catch a train back home".
