How Flash Sentry COULD work...(In my mind at least...)

Ok...

 

Lemme start out by saying, I'm not a fan of this guy...

Never have been, and may not be in the future, depending on what they do with him...if you like him? great! You're free to have your own opinion, and I won't be trying to persuade you otherwise.

 

BUT...

 

I came up with an idea the other day that may actually make him an interesting character. (to me at least)

 

In short, here's my head canon for the next Equestria Girls movie, and I think what I am about to say may in fact, unite anti-flash guys, with the pro-flash fans.

 

Ok, to start off with?

 

Flash and Twilight need to get closer...

 

*GASP*

 

yes...I just said that...but bare with me...you may be pleased where this idea goes.

They need to get closer...but not too close...they need to build an emotional relationship

and start "Dating" in the Human world...

This happens for a good amount of time throughout the movie...

But all the while, there's a slight disturbance in the air...

 

Now let me identify flash's character real quick, (as far as in the first and second movies)

 

He hasn't had too much screen time so far,

 

He's popular,

 

He's trying to go after Twilight...

 

Not much is known about him...

 

WHICH IS WHY...He'd make the perfect...

 

..

..

 

..changeling.

 

 

I mean think about it.

It'd make perfect sense!

 

Where did the changelings go when Cadence and Shining Armour banished them from Equestria?

 

Might at least one have ended up in the human world?

 

And not only that...

 

But his dating Sunset Shimmer could have been for the same reason she was originally trying to date him...Gain more popularity, gain more authority...then take over.

 

and at the end of the movie?

 

The real Flash Sentry could be found (in a similar fashion to how Cadence was found)

 

and he either ends up with Sunset Shimmer (starting a better relationship with her this time) or ends up with the human Twilight...(the non-princess one)

 

Meanwhile, pony twilight see's that as a princess/student, she doesn't have quite enough time/experience to start a romantic relationship, and continues on with her studies, and her friends...and everyone lives on happily at the end.

 

(Except for changeling Flash...he can be eliminated somehow)

 

But I mean...would that work? Am I forgetting anything?...I seriously think it'd be a good way to wrap up some loose ends, and get the fandom closer together.

He won't have replaced anyone...he'll have been "banished" in the form of sunset and the dazzlings. There won't be a clone of him there...

 

However...this does bring about the issue of the "Flash" in the crystal empire...

 

As far as we know...even though he looks the same, and there was a nod at the end of the first movie...

 

That pony has no official name...if they want to develop it later on? sure...if they do it right. I'm personally not a fan of the idea,

 

but with good writing, anything is possible.

Flash Sentry is a changeling and there is no real Flash Sentry. The changeling just made up the identity to get close to Twilight and Sunset Shimmer to absorb their magic through lip locking.
