Can I chat with a person on my friends list?

is there a way to chat with a person on the friends list or do i just have to keep on messaging back and forth

You can try commenting on their profile page, and they can talk back to you from there. Status update is also a decent way to communicate between friends. If want something more direct I'd recommend skype or perhaps irc channel

We won't create a group chat/chatroom feature for reasons stated in this post. However, whether or not a one-on-one chat feature would be implemented as a part of some other aspect of Poniverse that may or may not involve MLPF is more open for consideration.

As SCS stated, we may look into that as an option at some point in the future. As this was answered I'll close this question out.
