Your daily struggles

Invalid

Recommended Posts

(I made a thread like this back at my old forums, so I thought I'd make the same one here and read through your responses as well.)

I know a lot of people don't have an ideal life at home, school, or work and we have to put up with certain occurrences that are a pain to deal with everyday. Whether it is that handful of homework you get after the end of class, family members or co-workers giving you problems in some way, or just trying to figure out your schedule for the day.

Is there anything any of you have trouble with day in and out? Doesn't matter how minor it may be.

As for me, for a long while, my main stress inducer has been job hunting. That, and familial issues at home.

Mine would be job hunting as well. That and saving up some money to find a place to live. I mostly just struggle with mental aspects such as depression and anxiety. Some days are good and some days aren't. Struggling to take my mind off of ponies is rather a difficult challenge too. ^_^

I actually finished my job interview not too long ago and I'm awaiting a position. I've also had a few jobs in the past, it's not easy but manageable. :)

Time management. Getting up at 2am, having to drop my husband off at work by 4:30am after an hour long commute, and then just sit here at my college for 1.5 hours because it isn't open. Then I have classes from 7am to 4pm, with a half hour break for lunch. Then by the time we get home about 5pm, there's only an hour to do EVERYTHING and then go to be (if we want to get 8 hours of sleep). We often get to bed by 7pm, but there's too much to do and not enough time to do it. Glad we don't have kids...animals are hard enough to care for when you can't spend time with them. At least I don't have homework anymore, that made life nearly impossible for us.

It's not that I am bad at time management (to which I will admit that if I could lie around all day, I would, but life's funny like that), it's just that because I have to keep our life in perspective (managing our finances, planning ahead for bills, making sure we have food on the table, happy pets,  and darned asian beetles cleaned up now that its fall  {that surprisingly is a big deal where we live), and now planning for Christmas (2 months in advance because of keeping ahead of finances).  It's just one thing after another, and believe me, I'd like nothing more than to sleep for 16 hours and have an insanely long anime marathon....

Just pressure from work and general lack of sleep (5 hours of sleep a day).

It has been going on for too long. I believe that if it carries on that way, my efficiency at work will start to decline....

-Dealing with social situations at school. (I have a lot of friends but still have really bad social anxiety.)

-Having homework. (I am hella lazy, and a procrastinator.)

-Trying to finish my paintings in my art class. (I'm always a painting behind, for the life of me no matter how fast I work I can never catch up.)

I do online schooling and whenever I send in a Geometry assignment, I have a mental breakdown since I have a huge fear of failure. Any other subject is fine, it's just Geometry.

- Figuring out what I want to do with my life in the future

- (At times) Dealing with people who fail to understand my Asperger's Syndrome or how I feel about certain things

- Figuring out what I want to learn next

- Establishing connections with others (Groups, in particular)

Biggest daily problem for me is my bathroom problems. When I have to use the bathroom, I really gotta go and can't really hold it in very well. If I do, it becomes excruciatingly painful or it comes out on it's own. As you can imagine this gets in the way of a lot of things from a social life to my job. Couple that with the fact that I can't usually take any less than 10 minutes in the bathroom makes it even more aggravating when I have work to do and often get in trouble for taking more than ten minute breaks, if only by two minutes it's often enough to get in trouble but I can't particularly help it either.

Now I know what you're thinking: Adjust my diet. Believe me I have to an extent but there are a few problems.

1. I recently found out that I'm likely lactose intolerant. When I stopped eating dairy products that helped with how often I had to go but didn't fix things entirely.

2. I love food. A lot of the food that I like is often the worst for me so it's hard to get away from it. I enjoy it far too much.

Worst part? The way to fix my problem is to eat dairy products like cheese more because they are often a natural fiber. Son of a bitch, right?

So daily I struggle with my love of food and my problems in the bathroom that it causes. Bleh. My life would be a lot better if I didn't have to do this all the time.

I take Microbiology, Graph theory and Logic this semester. It's a bit daunting, but i think i'll get a grip on it as i gain more experience in these fields. Studying itself isn't that bad, but it's a bit difficult getting to the institute every morning instead of staying in my cozy bed.

I also am a manager in a pizzeria, and have various duties and responsibilities along with that role. I help out with anything, be it assuming direct control over the employees when peak hour chaos starts, counting inventory, ordering supplies, etc. The second i get my diploma - an army won't be able to drag me back into that place.

Finally, i have people, friends, family and all to juggle between. Strangely, my relationship with my family only improved as we drifted apart a little. I love my family, but i need a goddamn break once in a while, something which they didn't use to give me back in the day.

Right now: Taylor series of trigonometric functions.

What, am I supposed to memorize this or something...?

I'm lactose intolerant, and I know exactly what you're talking about.

Try eating a big bowl of high-fiber cereal at least once a day. Personally, I prefer raisin bran. Cracklin' oat bran is pretty good, too. Trust me, that'll clear out your system in like two or three minutes, and then you're done for the day.

I think my daily struggle is depression...

I feel like its really hard to go through the day when I just feel so down and not motivated to do things cause of this.

Another thing is I always feel tired... So I just wanna sleep 24/7 a day

Worthless: I sometimes feel like I don't really have anything going for me.

1. Waking up early in the morning (am a late riser, but have to wake up early, thanks to hubby dearest who has to reach office on time)

2. Cooking (the biggest daily struggle of all)

3. Doing the laundry (I fail to understand how we manage to get such huge piles up at home)
