I went shopping today and I took photos of the inside of an abandoned Blockbusters shop, sorry about the reflections.

I was thinking about writing a Creepypasta with these photos.

I bought 007: Goldeneye reloaded, and my sister bought clothes. We didn't stay for so long, although I had a good time :D

I second this creepypasta idea! Sounds interesting — and you can teach young people what Blockbuster was.

They'll learn from psychological pain and violence :D

I was going to write about the South Park episode when Randy goes crazy, but I forgot haha!

I'd be careful going into those abandoned blockbuster stores if I were you. Some say that the tortured souls of blockbuster employees still roam the dusty halls, looking for vengeance against Netflix and Redbox.

Did you know? Netflix offered partnership with Blockbuster, but Blockbuster turned down the offer because they thought online streaming would never take off.

these stores were cool back then I remember going to them a lot as a child same with Game Crazy but they both went out of business and now the buildings are either abandoned or used for something else the one near by me got turned into a diner

also does anyone else see that guy in the second shot

You mean to tell me there's a unit that has yet to be assimilated by the Borg acquired by GameStop? Something is amiss.

Nah, but seriously, cool find. The wannabe urban explorer in me is always fascinated by abandoned structures.

Awwww, I miss blockbuster :( , I used to love to rent games fro there. Making the trip to blockbuster was part of the whole experience. Now you can just stream movies online or have a game mailed to you.

I missed that going out for a bit get away from the house doing things... Well its just that malls and small businesses like this are dieing away. I used to love going to malls and still do from time to time just to hangout with friends, not that much these days honestly but I used to a lot.

I remember going to those. The one here in Niagara Falls closed like 5 years ago. Now we have this small video store Family Video. 2 of 'em.

I used to rent

*GASP*

VHS tapes!

It's been so long since I watched a VHS. I think the last movie I watched on tape was Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets.
