Actually, even I don´t know what I should think about it. I read the books few months ago and I was really looking forward to watching the film, but when I left the cinema, I was a little bit disappointed and confused.

The story was sometimes really shortened, especially the beginning, and the film seemed too "raw" to me. The camera was also shaking too much. I know it was because of the atmosphere, but they should have not used this "effect" in the whole film!

However, some parts were awesome, as well as the cast. I really enjoyed Stanley Tucci and Woody Harrelsons´ scenes, they were both just perfect!

What do you think about it?

I didn't read the book but I just seen the movie. It was good, but I still don't finish to understand how the games could actually keep the country at peace, and it also seemed to be like all the girl was doing was faking love in order to survive

I saw the movie, I'm reading the book when I get a chance (I have the book). I loved the movie :)

Exactly! Katniss was faking to survive.
Anyway, the movie was good, not as good as the book, though.
A lot of things were shortened, such as Rue and Katniss' interaction.

I read all the books before it really blew up to the point where it's at right now and I still haven't seen the movie. People have told me it's a disappointment but I still want to see it for old times sake :P But I was disappointed by her interview dress in the trailer, looked nothing like how they described it! That and the interviewer is the creeper from The Lovely Bones...o.O

I watched the movie but didn't read the book. It was okay, but not the best movie ever. It was enjoyable though.

I'm going to see the movie on Tuesday so I'll share my opinion then; I don't have too high hopes though, I'm prepared for the movie being worse than the book.

that was what they were doing xD

I liked both the movie and the books, they didn't rift to far from the books, but in my opining it should of been rated R and they could have put some of the ggory scenes from the book..... i wanted to see Clove's head get smashed by a rock xD

Yeah I thought it was, but it isn't a very good message isn't it. What I got from this movie is that it only was about going there, killing everybody else, and doing anything to survive, even if it involves lieing to everybody. I felt to me like only Katniss was faking but the guy was true, and that felt pretty bad.

I've never read the book, but I loved the film. They often shorten film addaptions of books, which is sad but needed or the film would go on for hours :(

I thought the film was great though! I agree with the shake effect on the camera (they used far too much of that) but the rest of the film was great! Im a little worried about the next film though...

Well, some people say, that they felt disappointment and confusion too when they watched it for the first time, but when they watched it twice, they were much more satisfied, so... I think I´m gonna watch it again.

I was aware of the basic premise of the book's plot before the movie came out, and I quite enjoyed the movie.

The movie left out a lot of details, but it's excusable considering the length of the movie was already long enough. Overall it mostly stayed true to the book and was a great movie.

Silly fillies! Stop giving out plot points!
I just saw the movie. It was dece but they took out some stuff and added some stuff. And it's not damn Cloverfield, stop shaking the camera.

I absolutely loved the performance by the actors/actresses that played Rue, Cato, and Clove. I thought those three did a very impressive, stellar job :)

I was not happy about them making a certain someone a creeper (EVERY. DAY.) nor did I like how they somehow made Prim bratty... Why on earth would they change an awed, "You look beautiful" to an envious, "I wish I looked like you." /fail.

Shaky camera got annoying.

Otherwise rather well done :D Rue, Cato, and Clove really stole the show for me.

Caesar Flickerman was also perfect :)

One thing that really irritated me was the shaky camera effect. I understand that is supposed to be part, but it was overdone and really just made it more difficult to focus.

i found the movie to be horrible. they left a lot out, and whenever any action scene toke place they shook the camera so you couldn't see anything.

I thought it was shallow crap. Although it had some potential, it was completely squandered.
