Why did they get rid of the hidden/private option a while back?

I remember back when I joined you could have the option to remain anonymous or "private" why was this removed? And is there any chance we could have that option back?

The anonymous login option was removed when the migration to Poniverse logins was made. This is because logging in anonymously was a part of the IPB login page. 

As far as I'm aware, there's no way to log in anonymously besides having a staff member forcing you into anonymity, which isn't usually done upon request. Sorry.

That is strange would not want it to be a permanent thing. Just strikes as odd since when they switched over with the whole poniverse thing. I had always assumed that it was polled amongst the mods to disable the option entirely or even by the community. But I suppose I was wrong.

 

Either thank you for answering my question however. I will miss that option though >.>
