Tracking pony pre-order woes

I went to Hot Topic and pre-ordered Funko ponies Luna and sunbutt on the 29th of last month. Got an email saying that my order was placed, that same day. Since then, no emails of orders being shipped or arriving in the store, ready for pickup. Their street date is today. Called the store and asked, got directed to customer service. Called customer service, and they won't frikin pick up their goddamn phones (well, one person did, but the -squeak- hung up on me, and every time I call back, I get some cutoff tone)

 

I just want to pick up my ponies I paid for....):

I preorder mine as well and have yet to receive but I do receive a survey from hot topic on how much I enjoyed my order. lol

If they got released today, then you're probably not going to have it shipped out today. From personal experience Hot Topic tends to take 1-3 extra business days to ship out, plus it's almost the holidays so they might possibly wait and ship it out after Thursday (which I know some stores do).

@@Nightmare Muffin, as this thread relates to a purchase of MLP merchandise, I have moved it into the 'Pony Merchandise' subsection of Sugarcube Corner.

 

I'm sorry to hear you're having problems. I emailed HotTopic to cancel my preorder and I was dealt with promptly, I marked my email with 'high importance/priority' which might have helped, this is something to consider perhaps? Best of luck with it though :)

But street date, damnit! D:< I should get what I shelled out 30 bucks on a month beforehand, the same time the ponies are supposed to be stocked in stores. Injustice! And here I thought I'd have a nice after-birthday gift ready and waiting for me, because being reminded of and going through my birthday sucks and ponies help ease the suckiness and depression. Damn holidays backing up my ponies! Damn you people and your holiday mail slowing shit down unnecessarily!!

honestly, this is the first- and last time I ever pre-order something. I didn't expect things to go smoothly, from the start, because they never do, for me, yet I pre-ordered in spite of my better judgement. ):

I just want my dang ponies. Is that so much to ask?

maybe there were a lot of orders and their having trouble filling them all?

 

either way, if they keep this kind of thing up their sure to lose customers.

I was planning to buy a adventure time/my neighbor totoro T-shirt from them online so I figured that I may as well.

 

well I just found that you're not the only one with that complaint, I can't for the life of me understand how a store can have such crappy "online shopping" especially in the day and age.

 

there were complaints from everything to slow shipping and bad customer service when they tried to call and check up.

 

I can see you being able to do anything other than wait and learn a lesson from chopping with them, when their sales go down they'll learn that they need to fix things.

 

I even so a brony over there with a Derpy profile pic talking about a similar case, which is not surprising because their shipping is crappy all around. 

 

I hope you get your merch soon.

I had a similar problem with an order I placed with them at the end of October for the MLP vinyl records they came out with. They sent an email saying my order had been shipped, but after two weeks, I still didn't have them. So I called them, and found out that they lost my order, so they processed a replacement order for me. Except that a week went by with no update, so I called again, and they never put it through. After a lovely conversation, they finally did it correctly, and I now have my order. But I would follow up with them if I were in your position, just in case.

There's no excuse for this kind of customer service and slow shipping (I finally got through to CS and was just told by a rep that I had to call back and see what was up, Monday, because apparently, shit's still in the warehouse) WHY IS IT STILL IN THE WAREHOUSE?  I mean, really?!

I don't blame the store I go to, I blame the people who handle the shipping. The people who run the warehouse, and have to make sure orders get sent out on time. The fuck up is on them- not the Hot Topic Customer Service, not the people in the HT store I go to. So I probably won't stop shopping with them, due to it not being their fault.

seems there's been some kind of situation with the shipments of both celestia and Luna, but not the orders on just Luna, so people who ordered her, only, are getting theirs.

So, Sunbutt trolls again. I'm regretting ordering her, now. =_= I didn't like her too much, before, and she certainly isn't winning any brownie points, holding up my order.

Fuck u Celestia.

Hot topic is having such problems. 

I understand that. HT needs to start building in more locations, in that case. Fortunately, there's one within 5 or 6 miles of me, so I don't have to worry about getting their stuff online. (they'd just better not close anytime soon)

it's just far easier to get screwed, buying online, IMO. (from experience) Not getting what you paid for, being sold something in bad quality that you thought you were getting in good quality, online identity theft, ect ect.

 

edit: I found a reply that someone got on another board, regarding the shipment of both Celestia and Luna:

 

 

Yay got the answer straight from the horses mouth... or in this case ponies mouth hahaha

 

"You're welcome. We just received notice that there was a delay with the Celestia shipment. Orders that have both pop's will not ship out until she arrives. The estimated delivery date is Friday. The reason why some people have received Luna now, is because they do not have Celestia on their order. We are very sorry for any inconveniences that this may have caused."

 

Well this is sorta good news, at least we know it still might just be people who ordered Luna separately getting her shipped.

Anyone here order the Funko Luna and Celestia? I haven't received mine yet, and it supposedly had a release date of 11/26.

I did. wayyyy back on october 29th. The street dates seemed to be getting pushed back a lot. Luna's was the 4th of November, but she changed to the 24th, same as Celestia's. Thern Celestia was taken down from the site, somewhere around the 24th.

It's the 1st of December, now, and I'm still waiting on word about my pre-orders from October.
