What's one thing to LOVE about Christmas/Holidays?

So this is a question that doesn't need explaining, what is the one thing you love about christmas, if you don't celebrate christmas, what's the one thing you love about any holidays? 

 

For me it's the warm atmosphere. From the cozy fireplaces, to watching you favorite christmas childhood movies, to drinking ALL the hot chocolate you want! To me it's everything that makes me feel warm inside to the smallest touch that truly makes this holiday one of my favorites that I look forward. It's never about the gifts (even if it's thoughtful in so circles, even though we all have lists and kinda expect it! ^^") but it's the tiniest things that really matter!

 

 

So tell me...what's your one thing you love about christmas/holidays? I'd love to know if anyone agrees with me or have different views! Also he title in this post, I forgot to change the random "to" into a "you". If any mod sees this error feel free to edit that cause I can't...oops

I'm going to be frank and say the presents. I'm pretty sure a lot of people who say "I love the get-togethers" really just want to say "I love all this new shit I get! :D"

I love the music, I love the atmosphere, I love the decorations and I especially love the sales and presents. I'm completely for the commercialized side of Christmas.

I admit, I do like the ambient lighting around the trees and buildings when I go out to the city. It's pretty vibrant during the night hours especially.

 

What I personally enjoy is the peace I get during Christmas Eve and the day after. I rarely get stress-free days, so I relish those moments as much as I can. I don't really expect gifts anymore since almost everyone I know has their own financial problems, and honestly, I'm okay with just enjoying my day the way I want to without disturbances.

The onset of winter, the pretty lights all over the place, decorated trees, and, of course... The presents! Well, I say that but I don't know that I need any presents this year, but just being honest to why I've liked Christmas in the past. xD

 I love the whole dang season, to put it in one word...MEMORIES. It's time to meet old friends, maybe even meet new friends! Share a laugh or two! Cuddle up in front of the fire, watch a movie, look at old photos. Watch the kids run around all crazy with there new toys.

 

Christmas is a time not for presents and getting stuff, but to meet up again, share old memories.

Sitting by the fire and drinking a glass of eggnog with a bit of ground nutmeg on top. It always evokes happy memories.

The same goes for decorating the Christmas tree, drinking hot coco, and going to all of my great-grandparents' houses to have dinner!
