this rp is open to all kinds of ponys from short to tall and its for the ponys who like adventure. you may create drama but plz no clop. just introduce your pony you will rp with and tell a little about it and there ya go welcome to my rp. w don't judge here so no mean names to anypony else ok thank you and enjoy my rp


im sand twirler. im a tan/sand color with a brown main and tail. I am an earthpony by birth but my father was related to lunas father ( not close family ) so there for I have alicorn blood and since it was mostly on lunas side I was evil but my friend cast a spell on me so now I only use my power for good. ( want more info on that message me ) my father died when I was a filly so now its just me and my mom. I have a husband ( ik im 14 but I mean my mlp oc has one not me ) and 1 kid by birth and one adopted. I have a pet dragon, oh and I can change into my alicorn form when ever I wanna. when im in alicorn form my name is sand storm ok I love to rp and hope you all have fun :)

As much as I love the adventure genre, Arkman has a point. We need to know the actual story upon which this RP will be based. Perhaps you can think of an interesting story idea :fluttershy: We can help develop a good idea together as well. Just try giving us what you would have in mind for a story :har:

Can't really say since Sand Twirler is currently absent. Perhaps we can come up with something interesting in the meantime. Whatever it may be lol

If I may propose an idea (as there isn't/ hasn't been one presented before us), how would all of you feel for a colonization RP?

The land of Equestria is expanding, and the princesses have their eyes set on a new land for their ponies. A team of explorers have already scouted out a continent unclaimed by any other faction. With the land ready to be calmed, all that is needed now if for the colonists to settle there. We will be the first to settle the land, and will have to survive and thrive off of what we brought and what we can make. Our talents will be vital to out survival. 

 

If the idea is bad, I can think of others.

Interesting. I like the idea of travelling to far off lands beyond Equestria. My OC, Orion Skies would be perfect for this. I can also say the same for one of my newer OCs Rosalina Waves, who was in fact born in a foreign land. I would have to think about which character I'll use. Overall the idea sounds really interesting and unique.

 

Perhaps we can even base it off this fan-map I found:

Regarding the location with the map, what location would be good? I was thinking the landmass at the far north west, right ness to the large cloud area.

Sounds good to me at least. We would just need some further background to the story. Like the reason why that land should be explored and colonized. Perhaps there is rare and valuable resource, a rare metal, etcetera. Maybe introduce it with some history of past attempts to enter this land that failed tragically.

The land could have some sort of magical properties. Maybe some long lost artifact. When the scouts first landed, there were numerous reports of strange electro-magical events. The unicorns sent there had drained magic usage, overwhelmed energy, and even spontaneous spell casting.

 

As the first few ships of analysts and colonists arrived, there were never messages of them landing. The scrolls that returned gave little info on a disaster. The last seemed to say they were about a day out before the crews went dark. This time, however, we will not be taking a sea ship. We are going to take a zeppelin. Easier travel, more versatile, and can land in cleanings.

 

My oc would be sent as a hired protector wor the group, as he is a wolf.

 

Is that ok?

The first thing that came to mind upon reading that line was "electromagnetism." It would be interesting for the group of explorers to discover this newfound energy and study its properties which could have a unique influence on equestrian magic.

 

I'm liking your ideas so far. Perhaps Sand Twirler, when and if the member gets back on soon, could have his OC come from a country that is nearby this mysterious uncharted land, therefore having some familiarity with the area which could be helpful.

 

We'll give Sand Twirler a day or so to catch up. Otherwise, we could just start a new thread for this new and epic idea.

That would be fine, but it helps to provide more information on your OC. :) Give him/her a backstory and whatnot along with a special talent or trait.

It's a decent description, but you have to consider the fact that guns and gunpowder are not canon in the world of Equestria. You need to make sure that the guns are no more advanced than the muskets used in the civil wars and that he invented them. Or you could replace the guns with a crossbow. Plus we would like to know how her friend died exactly, as well as the reason why she got into "shooting." Details are important.

The royal guards possess no guns. We preferably would like to keep the setting in or at least around the present timeframe. The only way I can see it work is if your OC invented them herself and that they are no more advanced than muskets or crossbows.
