I just hope the others can close the gap to Mercedes this year. They completely ran away with it this season. Button and Alonso? Can't imagine Alonso letting Button get his way too much.

Yep I expect Alonso to give Jenson a hard time, it really depends if Honda can make its new engine reliable enough for the two to finish races, I'm a Lewis Hamilton fan but I hope McLaren will get a win this year with either Jenson or Alonso.

That's probably one thing the team needs; though. Along with his talent for helping engineers develop the car, that team needs someone with a killer instinct to really drive the team. Likewise, Button needs a teammate who will push him to improve.

I just want to see them improve; period.

It should be exciting to see what the McLaren Honda team can do together again of course, but the 80's were a long time ago and things have changed a lot. I can't see them being quite as dominant again but then what do they have to lose at this point? The car these last few years has been way under performing.

Going with the McLaren-Honda theme their has been a lot of doubt over Fernando Alonso's return to McLaren after his 2007 venture with the team ended in controversy, people thinking that McLaren have doomed themselves again which is completely wrong its quite funny but people forget that Alain Prost's rookie year was with McLaren in 1980 that year didn't go too well and Alain Prost left for Renault with anger believing the team of blaming him for all the car failures, he later returned in 1984 and won 3 championship titles with them who says it cant repeat with Alonso.

How I think 2015 could go:

  • Mercedes is going as OP as they were this year.
  • Red Bull will complain (Well, Christian Horner and Dietrich Mateschitz mostly) if they don't do well.
  • Williams will sneak up and make a car that will challenge Mercedes.
  • Ferrari will build and awful car, and then fire everybody.
  • McLaren isn't going to have a good year with their new engine. I believe that because Honda's engine is brand new and WILL have teething issues.
  • Force India, Toro Rosso, Sauber, and Lotus will show up.
  • Caterham and Marussia Manor will fight over who doesn't finish last, if they've even got enough money to compete next year.
  • Daniel Ricciardo will put on a massive smile.
  • Alonso will do the same shit he did in 2010 (and 2007).
  • Maldonado will crash.
  • Everyone will complain about the turbo engines not making enough volume.

Although, the schlong-nosetm will be gone for next season, which is good.

Here it is ya'll:

The McLaren MP4-30. The livery obviously harkens back to a time when F1 cars were at their fastest. If McLaren is horribly slow this year, I'm going to blame the CNN sponsorship.

EDIT: One of two to be unveiled today, the Sauber C34.

I already miss the black. :(

And the Ferrari SF15-T.

To be honest I was disappointed with the MP4-30's livery its not much of a new look for a new area of the team. I wanted White and Red or even McLaren Orange to be used...

White and red was Marlboro colors, so that won't happen. Orange with black accents (similar to the MP4-21, shown below) would look nice. Well, maybe a bit more black on the sidepods, but don't look like Arrows before the team went bust or they will be down there with Caterham.

I hope in this season we'll see something more, than fight between Mercedes' drivers. Really, that wasn't fun. I also wish to see first win of my favorite team - Force India. No matter who, because I like both drivers.

Colors... This will be the most "monochromatic" season I've ever seen. There are to many black cars.

Well Marlboro don't own the rights to the colours White and Red so why not? Japans national racing colours are White and Red, Honda have used those colours many of times so it wouldn't be a bad colour scheme as this is a new era for the team it would also be alittle wink to the fans...its just a hugely missed opportunity in my opinion...when I look at the new McLaren I think of Mercedes not Honda.

Well...

McLaren isn't a Japanese team, so there is little sense in having Japanese colors for a British team, or at least in my mind there isn't. I don't really think Mercedes when I see the car, it reminds me of their old sponsor West Cigarettes, which of course means...

A TOBACCO LIVERY IN RACING AGAIN!!!

But it's still uninspiring at least. Fans these days (especially the ones that have been around for a long time) want to see older (re:retro) liveries in racing, and they don't want them to ever go away.

While I thoroughly enjoy the Martini stripes on Williams's cars, the JPS-style Lotus, Silver Arrow Mercedes, and of course the Rosso Corsa Ferrari, I would rather see something different. Yes, some of them are using "traditional" colors, but it gets old after a while. I would like to see more color variety on the cars instead of just black and red and silver all over the place, the cars look to similar to one another at a glance already.

In other news, and I'm slow with this, the Mercedes W06:

Oh wait, that's not it...

Here it is!

Not too many pictures of this that aren't blurry and amateurish "spy" photos though.

Also, Torro Rosso is set to unveil their car today.

I think the new Mercedes W06 looks like the 2009 Red Bull with the early season front wing...

I think it's pretty much an evolutionary model with a lower nose.

Anyway I've still got my fingers crossed for both Caterham and Marussia/Manor.

I really hope they both find new buyers, I've seen a few news stories saying that Marussia/Manor is very close to being bought.

I believe that Manor have said that they are very likely going to be on the grid in Australia, but nobody knows if they will have a new car or last years car. It's more dire for Caterham from what I undestand and they are more likely to race with the CT05 this year.

Torro Rosso presented their new car. :yay: His nose looks like a sword's blade  :D

Maybe I think, that Verstappen is too young for debut, but I still hope he will get some points in this car.

The Toro Rosso STR10 looks pretty awesome.
