What is Castle Crashers you may ask?

     Well simply put it is an indie action adventure beat 'em up game! Similar to what  you used to see in old arcades from time to time. It is available on steam for $14.99 and often goes on sale for 50% off more more (sheesh what am i salesmen? xD). This game does NOT go well with a keyboard and mouse, and honestly a controller is super recommended! Headsets and microphones are also recommended for communication purposes (kinda important for insanity mode)

 

Playing together:

This game is much more fun when playing with friends ^_^, So I created this thread to help people get together and enjoy the game together!

Personally, i have been needing people to play with. I dont know about you guys 'n gals but i love the game! Recently I have felt an itch to get back to it and try to finish insanity mode :lol: but to do so we need a crack team of grade A awesome people. Naturally the main platform will be through steam (yay steam!). so first off ...

 

Current Goal: Gather the team, and level up to Insanity level ranges.

I will be the leader of our great team (as I already have the insanity mode progress and aiming for my first golden skull).

 

Have a helpful steam guide to show inform you of each character's strength and weaknesses, and a guide to unlocking each character.

 

Join the team!

I figure to put in the effort to putting groups together and ovrall qualified people (for insanity mode) so that it would be easier for us to find eachother, and coordinate having people of similar level ranges (higher level's do not matter if you cap all stats). For simplicity sake please try to follow the format I made below, so that I may add them into a comprehensive list on this first post of our teams.(this is important as multiple people cannot play as the same knight). And as a suggestion, a King would be very helpful as I am certain the healing will save us plenty of lives in the long run. Fencer and Industrialist seem to also be invaluable and both arecurrently available for our insanity team!

 

Please note:We will be adding eachother to steam friend's lists to keep in contact, to prevent abuse we will handle that through PM's rather than posting your steam alias (Nickname) openly. However, should you so choose, you are free to openly post your steam on the forum, or on your contact list.

 

Primary Knight: Blue Knight: Level 83 grey skull achieved

Secondary Knight's: None

 

If you have any feedback to structuring the character resume format, please do share! Let us make this easier for everyone and make that list one smart cookie (helpful and well put together). And of course, discussion is more than welcome! questions about battle strategies, secrets, tips, etc. Laslty I need info on when you hit the level where you have enough points to cap every stat, I forgot what it was, I think it was something in the 60's?

i got this game not to long ago and i have time on my hands but im not a high level and i get scared playing games with people i dont know

Well hey there friend! thats alright, we chat, and play some games and suddenly you find out you know me! :P  In general im just looking for people to play with, though the goal (as mentioned in first post), is to clear Insanity mode! :lol:. Depending on your character and level I may just play with you! It gives me an excuse to level up the industrialist or some of the other characters I have.

 

So what character(s) do you play? and what level are you so far? (p.s. i recommend checking out those steam guides i posted in 1st post, very useful stuff!)

im like level 15 highest on the pink knight

 

i only have the game because my friends wanted to play but they dont come on alot 

 

i have 2 level 7 i think one is the grey knight the other is darn cant remember

oh good! that means your not too far ahead of me I cant start a new character and join you! uhm, can i get a region from you? probably something I should add to the info people should add (that way we dont have people from NA playing with China, Netherlands, or something. I am from North America! I also recommend checking out the steam guide I posted to inform yourself of what characters to aim for to be "competative" so to speak, and otherwise have a good charater ^_^

This is a fun game.  I friend of mine bought everybody a bunch of copies when it went on sale, and we played it together for a while until he mysteriously got upset at the game and stopped playing it.  I still have my orange knight and would enjoy playing some co-op games of this.

At this point, my Primary knight - the orange knight - is level one. Reset his level a while ago, so I'll need to work on getting that back up. I think this would be fun to join in on. Hell, lemme go start leveling up right now.

That is strange ... Oh and if its not too much trouble would you mind checking out the two steam guides I linked? If we are to get a co-op team together it would be best if we could sort out the first details of who will use what knight. The first guide shows the advantages and disadvantages of each Knight (from a vet), and the other shows how to unlock each knight! very helpful stuff.

Good to hear! though at this point we have 2 people who want to use orange knight, so if we all want to play together got to work out who will be what :lol:

Ahhhh I wish I could join but I don't have a computer that supports steam ;^; I had like a lvl 99 brute on my xbox and almost beat insanity mode, but I'm selling my xbox. To get a computer for gaming. It'll be a month or two before I get it though.

Does it not let you play two of the same knight?  How many players can play simultaneously anyway, I thought you couldn't have more than four. 

You can play with up to 3 people (for a team of 4). Sadly no, several people cannot play as the same knight (I have ran into this problem before with my old team ... which sadly no longer play the game). If you like the orange knight I think you would like the Fire Demon character http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=292138944 its a top tier character and plays about the same.

I would either be Eskimo or Brute. I can speed run this game pretty well once I can get it but it'll be in a month or so. I had like a level 72 orange but I don't prefer fire magic, so not doing that again.

Sounds like a plan! For insanity mode all that is left is the Necromancer and the final boss (I believe, as it has been a while). So according to that guide, the brute is better at boss slaying, but I am fine with whatever you pick ... though Since it is insanity mode I reccomend something rating 80+ (from that guide) and naturally, the higher the better :P. Also take your time, its really all about having fun and playing together! :lol:

 

Though naturally I am really excited to finally finish insanity mode and earn my gold skull :yay:
