Got tickets to a ponycon! Advice?

I just got tickets for a ponycon near me in Feb. I have ALWAYS wanted to go to a brony convention. Now I FINALLY get to go! But I don't know much about the conventions. What do bronies normally do at a convention? What were/are the things you enjoy doing most at the conventions? I am a female brony with Cerebral Palsy and I use forearm crutches. Any advice for me as a physically disabled brony in terms of navigating and/or things to watch out for?? What kind of food is normally served at conventions?? Are you allowed to bring in outside food/drink?? Are you allowed to leave the building for a short time then come back????(my family wants to be able to come and go while I stay at the convention the whole time)
