FLCL one of those animes that is so obscure and odd the first time seeing. Yet has a wonderful meaning behind it. Out of all the anime shows I have seen this one by far stands out among them all. What this anime did in 6 episodes for me was a masterpiece. Funny, romance, coming of age, randomness, and plenty of allusions. Very lovable characters as well and Haruko in a way reminds me of Pinkie Pie if you think about that for a second she would have to be a favorite character for me too.

I was wondering if anyone one here on this forum also liked this anime or have had a chance to watch this?

Btw the music in this anime is unreal the Pillows soundtrack to this anime fits absolutely perfect.

yah im thinking it was about him growing up (yes I forgot the main charecters name like i do with most animes)

Yeah its pretty much as that and really to me the anime can mean different things for others perspectives. To me its about maturing changing from a kid into adulthood and such. The swing the bat reference basically saying nothing can happen until you decided to do it or put your mind to doing something whatever that might be.

I like how the anime covers relationships with Naota, Haruko & Mamimi. Really you can watch this anime multiple times and find something in it new that you did not see before.

Loved this one. Saw it when I was very young on Adult Swim. Left an impression on me that stands strong today xD Got most of my randomness from Haruko-san.

Also, one of the few anime I watch dubbed.

If Discord made an anime it would probably go something like FLCL does. It makes no sense yet it not in the bad way nor in the way of being so nonsensical that it is hilarious but some other indescribable way that somehow works for reasons that can only be understood by watching it.

Oh yeah, I remember this show. I watched the first episode of two on Netflix a while back, and was totally weirded out. I'll have to give it a second chance, since everyone here seems to be enjoying it.

I loved the randomness and the humor of

the anime,  the style was eye candy and

the this Man's Eye Brows:

Strange thing it has a plot, with

a feeling of a coming of age kind

of story but also I loved the Pillows

with the music they did!

Yes this all behind the random chaos and humor... it really has a great story. A lot of allusions within' the anime as well. I can find new things each time I rewatch it too. The soundtrack that is on another playing field on its own honestly.

FLCL is a fantastic anime. Regardless of its short run, it did give you everything you'd want in a solid anime. And speaking of the Pillows, 'Ride on Shooting Star' is hella awesome!  :pinkie:

FLCL is one of my few 10/10 shows. A beautiful, delirious celebration of everything that makes the medium of animation unique. The show's visual invention and anarchic disregard for conventional narrative made it one of the freshest and most exciting experiences I've had with a piece of media in a good long while. Love it to bits.

It also features Neon Genesis Evangelion director Hideaki Anno playing a minor role as an overweight cat. The show would have been a masterpiece in my eyes just for that.
