A giant staged surrounded by a huge group of ponies stood in plain site in Canterlot. Luna and Celestia stood on the stage, draped in their armor. "Our most loyal subjects, we have gather you here to discuss a very serious topic," Celestia stated in her royal Canterlot voice.

 

Luna walked up beside her, opening her wings. "King Sombra has taken over the Crystal Empire. We cannot defeat him alone. With your help, and the help of the Elements of Harmony, we know we can take him down!" Luna boosted, using her royal Canterlot voice as well. "We have each selected ponies based on their skills and abilities. We will have two armies: mine and my dear sister Celestia's," she used her magic to conjur up a scroll, "When I call your name, please come up to the left of the stage to be fitted for my armor." She opened the scroll. "Lunar Eclipse! Stained Steel! Lunar Novel! Midnight Aurora!" She made she scroll vanish as another appeared. She handed it off to Celestia.

 

Celestia opened the scroll. "When I call your name, please come to the right of the stage to be fitted for my armor. Midnight Shine! Chronos Dial! Luminous Flux!"

 

Lunar was already on the stage. Being Luna's prized student, she was by her side at all times. She trotted over to Luna's side, hoping nopony would stare too bad at her being an alicorn.

 

Midnight, who was already on the stage as well, stepped up to Celestia's side timidly.

Aurora steps up to the stage and says, kneeling before Luna, "It has been only a short time but we still remeber you, mother. I stand ready to fight for the moon." Aurora moves to her place. Her twinblades moonlight and moonshadow rest in their wing sheaths.

Steel is lightish grey pegasus with many blades he is also a known assassin and is kinda feared by other ponies Steel sighed taking flight from the roof he stood on he landed in front of luna "I don't wear armor" steel said he glanced at lunar sighing

Chronos began walking to the stage. Beside him walked his squire, carrying Chronos' Sword and shield. Chronos got on the stage and looked at Celestia. He knelled before standing and thinking 'How long has it been since I have been on the field of battle?' He looked at his squire who was preparing to fit Chronos with his armor.

Flux walked to the right of the stage with her headad held high. She was proud of where she was today. It sure beat working at the shop she shrugged mentally as she took her place.

 

Never had she been so excited in her life. She readied herself, barely containing her excitement .

Celestia smiled at each of her ponies. "Please go to Midnight Shine," she pointed her wing over to the timid pony, "to be fitted in your armor, then come back over here so we can go to our traning area."

 

Luna smiled, remembering the pony. "Hello, my child..." She looked at Steel. "You are required to wear armor. It is not an option." she commanded, frowning.

 

Midnight drug a giant chest over, opening it. It was full of armor.

 

Lunar used her magic and conjured up two sets of armor; one for Steel and one for Aurora. "Put these on so we can begin our training."

Steel sighed "demons aggression I summon thee" steel whispered black armor appeared over his Body it looked light and weak but it was a strong if not stronger then any full plate and it gave off a dark aura "If I must wear armor then this is what I'll wear" steel said

Aurora disliked heavy armor and it seamed this armor was good. It also bore the moon's symbol, so she knew her reflection would be strong.

 

She puts on the armor and says, "By your leave mother. I am ready. The others say they miss you. But that can come later."

 

Aurora motions to Celestia to emphisize her point. She knows Celestia didn't help or like the colony's formation, but when Aurora heard about Sambra she had to help.

Chronos walked over to Midnight Shine. "Let my squire help you, He needs to learn chivalry anyways..." Chronos said before looking at his squire, who had dozed off. Chronos looked forward again an d said "He's new..." Chronos grabbed his sword and hit it on the floor in front of his squire "Pay attention!"

Luna sighed. "Fine. At least it's armor." She looked at Lunar. "Put his armor away. Only Aurora needs it."

 

Lunar nodded, zapping his away and putting hers on her.

 

Clestia smiled, waiting for the other pony to come up onto the stage.

 

Midnight nodded, handing him his armor. She looked at Flux. "P-please step forward s-so I can put your a-armor on..." she timidly said, taking out Flux's armor.

Flux calmly step forward to receive her armor. She had never donned a warrior's garb before though she had seen armored guards patrolling around the city before. She could imagine herself all regal, proud and grand, standing beside the mightiest heroes of Equestria.

Chronos' squire took the armor and began putting it on Chronos. 

 

The squire strapped each piece on to him except for the helmet. Chronos looked at the armor, for it was different from his old set, it was new and shiny, the cloth which covered his chest plate was changed from grey with his coat of arms to blue with Celestia's cutie mark to more preferably show his alignment. Chronos pulled the chain mail hood over his head as his squire lowered his helmet on to his head. 

 

Chronos put his shield on his left foreleg and set his sword on his back.

Steel smirked the armor vanishing as he took his place by Luna he wasn't to fond of helping these ponies take control of the crystal empire after all it was where he got some of his necessites for his work - maybe I'll use my full set of items for this - steel thought

Midnight timidly helped Flux put on her armor.

 

Luna sighed, looking at Steel. "Why do I have a feeling you will be giving me much trouble...?" she murmered, frowning.

 

Lunar used her magic, her royal guard armor appearing. A twin scythe appeared holistered to her side as she looked amungst th crowd. She then looked at Celestia. "Do you have a missing pony?" she asked.

 

Celestia sighed, nodding. "It appears so..." She stepped forward. "Lunar Novel, if you are in the crowd, please come forth to be fitted for your armor," she said sternly, the crowd beginning to stir. -Is this pony going to show or not...?- she thought.

Aurora waits for mother Luna's next action. She shifts uncomfortablely while she waits. Her movements indicate that she probably wishes to take flight and begin helping in the fight against Sombra. Aurora thinks, 'Mother worries about her ponies. Maybe afterwards I can help her with other things. If the elders will allow me to remain by mother's side."

Novel came galloping to the stage, completely flustered. She, yet again, was lost in another book. As she breathlessly got to the two princesses, bowing "I-I am so very sorry Princess Celestia and Luna. I was studying a bit longer than I had planned on." She kept her bow "Lunar Novel at your service Princesses." She stays low to the ground.

 

((I am so very sorry! Schoolwork got to me. I'm a senior so I might be a bit slow with replys but will read the story before posting regardless. Again, sorry about that and I'll start checking again now that I'm free))

Steels ear twitched hearing luna "because you and your sister stand against what I do that why you're so foolish knowing what I do you still thought it best to ask for my help" steel whispered to her foolish simply foolish I suppose after this they'll tty and take me to the dungeon- steel thought

Chronos looked at steel and whispered to his squire; "keep and eye on that one, I don't trust him" His squire nodded. Chronos then looked at Novel 'I'm starting to question our chances of taking down Sombra' He thought before starting to wonder if he was the only one with any real experience in a large scale battle. He looked at his squire wondering what was going on in his mind.

Novel turned to Princess Luna "I hope you have armor to accommodate my magic, since heavy armor like that slows me down, but I will wear it if that is all that is available" Novel is nervous and could tell the other ponies were wary of her, she could sense it in the air around her. But she kept focused on the princess, keeping her body low in a half bow to show her sorrow and irresponsibility. While doing this she picked up the atmospheres around every pony to understand who she will be working with a little better. It is best to know your allies, even if they don't think kindly of you or really like you at all. But Novel's reasons for being late was of noble cause, after all knowledge is her greatest asset.

The aura surounding aurora is odd. She is and isn't of Equeatria. The aura also speaks of a great bond with the moon. It also shows of something hidden waiting till it can come out. Aurora says, "pleasure to meet you, Novel. Midnight Aurora at mother's services." Aurora bows repectfully to Novel.

Steel scoffs at the two bowing to Luna he himself would not degrade himself so. (Speaking of auras lol) steels aura was strange it was as if a unicorn and pegasus was in the same body it was a strong and seemingly malignant aura one that causes unrest among many who feel it

Flux triedo to move around in her new armor. It was a lot heavier than she expected. She was better in setting trap spells than actual direct combat. It would need some taking used to with the armor on. On one hoof, she didn't like being burdened with its weight but on the other, she didn't want to get injured.

Steel looked at flux "if you'd like I have some light armor that's strong as that armor I'd just have to go get it from my house" steel said he understood her problem heavy armor was bulky and cumbersome "your body type is not suited for heavy armor such as that" steel turned to midnight "do you know about armor at all look at the body of the wearer then make the armor " steel said he pointed at chronos "his body type is meant for heavy armor"

Novel returns the bow, "it is a pleasure to meet you." Novel kept looking at the pony with interest. She will have to learn more, but for now she needs to leave a good impression on the others and the princesses to make up for being so late to an important event. She made note of everything thing she gathered on the others

Luna looked at him. "We know of your past. We do not care. We know that you are the only pony could truly help and more than likely defeat King Sombra. Possibly even single handedly. And whereas you may not like us or believe the same things we do, we still really need your help. the onthers will help defeat him too, obviously, but we knew we had to have you more than any other pony."

 

Lunar sighed, looking at Novel. "You're late. Not a very good start on the right hoof if you ask me," she scoffed, walking back over to Luna.

 

Midnight blinked, her ears lowering. "I-I-I..." She lowered down, her ears flat.

 

Celestia sighed, using her magic to make Flux's armor more suited for her. "There is no need for all this hostility. All was needed was a simple statement to me about it. I have the magic to fix it." she stated, annoyance in her voice. She looked at Novel, smiling. "I was beginning to worry if you were coming," she laughed, using her magic to put on armor especially for Novel.
