Scootaloo and Bulk Biceps and Filght

Ok so here's something why can Bulk Biceps fly and Scootaloo can't? I know some people are like well her wing's are just to small or some Theorize that you know she's like the handie caped kid of the show so she'll never fly but what I don't understand is that how can Bulk fly with wings the size of Scootaloo's and yet she still can't fly? I mean he's giant with super tiny wings and her wings aren't that small for her size. Thoughts?

Well we know Scootaloo can hover for a few seconds and Bulk can "barely" fly. He's not a fast flier mind you, but still a flier. One way of looking at it would be something of endurance and keeping those wings flapping while maintaining movement speed. This would be simple for normal pegasi, and i'm unsure how long a normal pegasus can stay up in the air without being grounded on ground or on a cloud. I'd imagine it would be hours though and it would make some sense. However due to Bulk's "physique" it would be a little difficult for him to maintain flying for even a short period of time. Where as Scootaloo seems to have the trouble of maintaining those wings to keep flapping, but she makes up for it using her Scooter and uses her wings as a propeller and a way of getting some sick air. 

 

That's just my theory on it though, and it's all based on assumption really.

Bulk Biceps isn't a character to be taken seriously. While, Scootaloo and her disability might be a serious part of at least one episode or even more down the road. That would account for why BB will fly but Scoots can't.

As you can tell, Bulk Biceps has.. well, bulk biceps. It must take a lot of strength to be able to stay up in the air with tiny wings like his. We know Scoots can hover for a few seconds, so at least she's trying.

 

She could possibly fly someday if she uses the same technique Bulk Biceps uses.

 

I don't like to call Scootaloo not being able to fly a disability, just something she can't do very well. I still have faith that she'll be able to fly someday, maybe she's just a late bloomer or something.

I note that Bulk is not very good at flying, that's for certain. My headcanon is that Bulk also could not fly in his youth, and it was only through strength training that he built his wings up enough to get him off the ground with as little agility as he has.

 

Thus, if Bulk Biceps can fly, one day, so will Scootaloo.

I just really hope some day she will I love how hard her and the other Crusaders try and I gave Bulk so credit with his filght cause Rainbow Dash Trained him and Futtershy to be slightly better then when they started.

I think it's only because Scootaloo is still a filly, she's too young. My guess is that every adult pegasus can fly, including Bulk Biceps, and that Scootaloo will eventually be able to fly someday.

Maybe it's not the size of Scootaloo's wings that's the problem, maybe it's the shape, or the way her feathers grew. It takes a very specific type of aerodynamics to make wings that fly. One little feather or bone out of place, even an imperceptibly small one, and it's game over.

 

If this is what's keeping her grounded, she may still be able to fly someday. Maybe her body will sort itself out during adolescence.

I find it funny that the cake's pegasus baby can flly the name evades me but scoots can't

As best I can figure, MLPs are about the size of a Shetland pony, give or take.  Something that big couldn't possibly fly without magic.  Hasbro has said that Scootaloo isn't crippled.  She must just be a poor flyer & slow to learn.  If you look at episode 23, Cutie Mark Chronicles, then Fluttershy had trouble flying when she was about Scootaloo's age. 

 

Dash is such a good flyer because The Force is strong within her.  Fluttershy might have just as much magic, but some goes into The Flutter Stare & talking to animals
