Which Element of Harmony is the hardest to maintain?

Title pretty much says it all. The fandom always blows a gasket whenever the mane six don't follow their element to a tee(which I think is ridiculous). But the more I think about it, the more I realize the elements aren't that easy to follow, whether it be not following it enough, or following it too much.

 

Out of the six elements, which do you think is the most difficult

Is the question asked as if we were to be held responsible for using them and keeping with them safe? Like we had to follow each element otherwise we couldn't use them? Or is the question pointed towards the ponies and their path in keeping the power to use them?

If aimed more at us (humans), then magic would be the hardest, obviously. Humans can't wield magic, or if we can, we haven't learned how to.

If aimed at ponies, they're all pretty easy. Magic is easy for Twi, she just has to keep practicing magic and getting better with spells and learning new ones. Kindness is easy because... well she's Fluttershy . Laughter is easy because... well she's Pinkie Pie . Generosity might be a bit hard to keep up with. So would Loyalty and Honesty. There are just some things that you can't give away/don't want to give away. Loyalty would be a bit tough because sometimes for the group to grow, you have to grow on your own first. And Honesty is probably the hardest, because everyponies got secrets. Even if they say they don't, they do.

I think that's the element of honesty. Telling the truth can be very hard sometimes, especially to your friends...

I would say honesty. I feel like most of the others come more naturally, while living by a code of honesty can we very difficult at times. You could probably make a case for loyalty as well.

Honesty is a tough one i agree, but kindness can be lost sometimes without you even knowing!!

Well seeing as to how (I assume) magic is all of the elements combined I think the hardest to obtain would be (as I already mentioned) magic.

I think generosity and kindness are probably the hardest. At least from what I've seen in real life. 

It's easy to love the lovable, but it's infinitely harder to love someone who is difficult and perhaps will not yield you any personal satisfaction in your eyes. If you can manage to be good to someone, and remain judgement free in the face of what you might think is a bad attitude, or a poor lifestyle, and treat them with respect- that's real kindness. 

Also, generosity can be difficult. I think alot of people aren't really generous because they want others to be happy and cared for, but rather for their own ego. Sort of like those sorts of people that talk about charity work they've done, or donations they've given. I think to be really generous, you should be humble as well, and keep your charity work secret. I can't tell you how many times someone bragged about knowing someone from the crisis center or homeless shelter they volunteered at, and it deeply embarressed the person they were talking about; but it didn't matter to the speaker, because that person bragging was so into looking good they didn't even think about how it might be affecting the other person that is recieving the help.

Honesty is the toughest one because it is hard to be honest at times. Even Applejack struggles with it at times. Especially during "The Last Roundup" where it took her awhile to admit what's been happening to her.

This depends a lot on if the pony has to live up to the element or if bearing the element has an effect on the pony.

For me personally, Loyalty. I am in no way a loyal person, though it's really more dependent on the situation.
