This may be a stupid question, but we're you scared of(or still am) scared of emergency broadcasts. When I was 10, I was scared of the tests when they came on at 3 in the morning and I had my tv on. Tell me your story in the comments below.

Oh my god those always scared the shit out me. I'd be an innocent little kid watching spongebob, next thing I know that thing pops up making a creepy noise, and I think we are going into a nuclear war. 

 

Then spongebob would come back on, and I'd forget all about it.

It gave me the MOST unsettling feeling! When I was younger, it felt as if somebody was going to come up behind me and kill me when those alerts came on... It sounds very silly, and I don't know why I felt like that was going to happen.   

 

Ugh, to be honest, I'm still somewhat scared of those things (though, not AS much as I was when I was younger).

Yeah, I've been scared by them before. That god awful noise it makes just gives me the chills. It kind has the same effect on me that a tornado siren does.

Not really. Since I love weather and had an interest in tornadoes and severe thunderstorms. I actually ENJOY seeing them.

HECK YES!!! Those things scare my horseshoes off! Especially the sound it makes. Even the prank videos on YouTube scare me. But at the same time, I understand the purpose of it.

I'm guessing this is an American thing? We don't have those in Australia. As far as I know.
