Could you really blend into pony society?

OK, so you become a pony of your choice: earth/pegasus/unicorn/bat pony. (other options not available)

You are plopped into Equestrian civilization. You adjust to your new body well.

BUT. You are still you. Your new home is just like the TV show. There is no TV, no internet.

Politics are no longer an issue because Princess rule is supreme. The monarchy is not oppressive, you are still free, but you will never have a real say in your government.

Ponies are much more outgoing and friendly than urban humans are, if you want entertainment, you go out...to pub, a party, meet with friends, a show, etc. In an earlier time, human society was like this, but not now.

and of course you are still YOU. You still have your silly issues. Ponies have all the weaknesses of humanity (bullying, teasing, and the like).

Could you blend in? Live a good life over there?

Or would you bring way to many issues over with you?

Silverhoof and Debbie;

As for me, thats no problem. I always get along and converse with any group I'm in. I am addicted to the internet, but I could get over it. My wife is a homebody who loves her privacy...I think we would need the anonymity of a large city to live well/and keep our sanity. Maybe a country cabin would be a nice getaway.

Canterlot is nice, offering interesting entertainment, but the limited space means housing may not be in our budget (Read: EXPENSIVE). I want to say, Ponyville, but ManeHatten is much more likely.

Oh and one last thing. I like my hands to much. We both choose to be unicorns for the Telekinesis. That is another sanity requirement for us.

I'd be eager to try it, actually. But given my anxiety and phobias, i might look a bit odd. Its not like they would mind it. Ponyville would be my first choice, manehattan has the types i don't like(aristocrats or high class). I'd feel more comfortable in middle class crowds. But would have a little difficulty making friends. But would have no problem  going out.

I would probably do it. Sure, they have the same problems as us, but i think ponies are much more relaxed, or that's atleast what i am getting from it.

If i could settle myself in Ponyville, i could probably live a calm life there.

I'd probably give it a try. I mean, I love being a human and I like my life: I wouldn't trade it permanently, of course. But hypothetically, I think I'd be okay. My main problem would probably be finding an occupation, considering the skill sets I have as a human are probably completely useless for ponies, and vice versa. Politics aren't much of an issue for me because although I do have opinions about our government, they're not something that drives my life and dictates a great part of my personality.

Magic might be difficult to get used to, as well. I wonder what magic feels like?

No internet would be the hardest part, but as long as I still get to keep contact with my friends (even those that I only know over the internet) I could handle it.

If even a single friend has to be left behind, though, I'm staying right here!

I suppose the shift would be similar to Twilight's in EqG. She is much smarter than me, but unlike her, I would have requisite understanding of the creature into which I'm morphing (Pegasus). Of course I'd probably make a goof of myself quite often at first. I don't foresee having a problem with no TV or internet, since having the ability of flight is sort of more fun than watching According To Jim.

If I were to survive the transition - i.e. my heart doesn't explode from the ecstasy of arriving in my dream world - item one on the agenda would be hitting up Rainbow Dash for tips and tricks on being cool, if she has room in her schedule for yet another die hard admirer.

I would not have a problem surrendering my lifeblood to the Princesses. I would live and fight and die for them.

No internet would suck. I'd probably get used to it, though, and I think I'd just wander around Equestria to see the land. Arriving there I won't have any obligations and I'm fairly sure I could eat the plants I come across since everything outside the Everfree Forest is grown by ponies. I think I'd go from town to town, do some odd jobs, then leave again in RPG style.
