Has anybody else realized that...in our age of 2015 the Internet has killed the Electronic Store of Radio Shack.

This came through my head after listening to....

I mean I used to always shop there and it never really hit me, intill news of it closing all it's stores after 94 years of service.

Its strange...

also it would make an awesome new version of the song in the video.. XD

Anybody else realize this?

Blockbuster never did too well when it cam to organizing their online games, they'd have games that were to be released, but never came to be able to rent online. Even games nobody played anymore.

Aww damn. Where will I go when I need that obscure cable/adapter/converter now? Ordering things online is convenient, but sometimes I don't want to wait a week for shipping.

I hate that song.

There was always a Radio Shack somewhere near me when I was growing up, but I never went in there for anything. Nobody I knew shopped there regularly, and in fact the chain was widely mocked by the kids I went to school with. I'm surprised that it lasted this long.

That is frustrating.  Radioshack has been going downhill for a while, but they still sold plenty of useful things, like obscure battery sizes.  Your telling me in an age where electronics are everywhere they can't stay in business.

They over charged (get it "charged" ya know, battery...) for everything. They also did not jump on any of the bandwagons.. ("makers" for instance.) Frys (which we do not have where I live) did, and they are making a killing. They kept with the old "we will sell electronics and transistors at high prices because electronics are magic" formula and they failed. I actually bought transistors and photodiodes etc from them back in the 90s, but seriously, without a proper "maker" mentality that side of the business is not high margin enough. Then their electronics kinda sucked anyways. They just flubbed the whole thing by not seeing the changing world around them.
