Star vs. the Forces of Evil is a brand new show that sneak previewed in January and is coming to Disney XD March 30th!

 

This show follows Star Butterfly, a magical teenage princess sent to Earth from another dimension to live with Marco and they go on adventures and fight evil creatures.

 

I think this is a really cool show and I'm usually not this excited for the debut of a new show. But this one looks interesting and the trailer really got me.

 

So far I've seen 4 episodes, Star comes to Earth, Party with a Pony, Monster Arm, and the Other Exchange Student and more episodes are coming starting March 30th!

 

And dm29 my favorite Deviantart user for MLP fanart has also made Star fanart of his own!

For some reason I'm drawn to this show and would like to join this fanclub.

 

Hmm I need to see Monster Arm and The Other Exchange Student. I wonder if those are still on demand? I wasn't aware they were going to show any more until the premiere. Curse not having streaming services and terrible internet.

 

The song is SOOO catchy it's often stuck in my head. The one from the commercial/opening. Right up until the rainbows/puppies. That part onward just doesn't stick with me.

This show from what I've seen so far is brilliant. It's full of rapid fire gags and our main character is like Pinkie Pie if she were given any power.

I just saw the premiere of this show on Disney XD. This show has some really cool randomness. It's like Sailor Moon on steroids.

I don't recall Sailor Moon being as random, but they both have story progression while having randomness. Since there's no bodybuilders, I believe the correct term would be "Sailor Moon with an always on massive sugar and coffee rush". I wish I could experience one, but sweets and coffee just make me relaxed.

 

Apparently Monster Arm/Other Exchange Student is Ep 3. Weird.

I saw the latest episode and it was interesting. I kind of get the premise of the series so far. Star's magic is haywire sometimes and whatever she wants to appear, something else appears because she still can't control her magic. So Monster Arm was pretty cool but I'm not sure about Other Exchange Student.

Yup, that seems to be the premise so far. She doesn't have full control of the wand, so it doesn't always work how she wants even if she uses a pre-discovered spell. See the arm curing spell.

 

"Eugene" (Might have lied again) was really creepy, and I still think he's a cannibal. He was measuring them in their sleep which he didn't explain, and he brought baguettes to the other family to fatten them up too. I wonder how many families he's already eaten with the foreign exchange student scam? Might not be the end of that story yet.

 

Seems like this set of episodes were actually number 3, and next week will be an actual new episode.

I didn't expect to like this show for how hyperactive it is, but it definitely surprised me and it's easily better than MLP imo (then again so is Steven Universe and Gravity Falls).

 

The show is very cute (Eugene though...) and Star Butterfly is perfect <3

I just watched the show today after the bug of curiosity finally got me,and I only have two words:

 

Love It

 

The animation is nice and cool,and the main character is random,but without becoming annoying,and all the characters are really good as far as I saw. I didn't thought I would love a show that was that random,but I did(and I think is gonna be my future obsession for a time).

The first new episode today was pretty bizarre, but I would replace the ringtone with Winter Wrap Up or Smile Song. The second one about the wand charger I could understand more. Star's wand was powered by a unicorn and it turns out she just lost a charger.

The first episode was definitely bizarre. Marco accidentally calls monsters and none of them are recognizable. Also apparently anyone who ships Star+Marco just got burned cause she has no romantic feelings for her guide on Earth. He might still like her though, we don't know.

 

Actually I feel the charger episode made no sense. Is she feeding the unicorn from the charger? Why is the charger always connected? An always connected charger destroys battery life. It felt like more of a battery you put in and replace than a charger. Charger suggests daily or at least semi regular charging. The speed at which the bar ran down from the initial 40% Star showed to almost nothing implies she charges it daily and we just don't see that, but the amount she's used it before the charger episode should suggest it should hold a lot more magic power than that per day. Becoming pretty much unusable around 40% or 30%? That doesn't make sense to me, I'm sorry.

Just stop overthinking. It's a cartoon that as we can see from the main character, is pretty zany, remember that.

I adore this cartoon! Although it's still new, I find it to be cute and funny. Ever since it was announced, I've been waiting to watch this show to air, and the wait is well worth it. Although it may not be my favourite cartoon, I still love how quirky it is. Also, Star is a fun character. I can't wait for more episodes!

Checked out the show last weekend to see what the fuss was all about, and I had a good time! While I can see how the energy might be a bit much for some, I find it refreshing and enjoy the chance to be wrapped up in whatever nonsense the show cooks up. I also really enjoy how supportive Marco and Star are of one another and how they're able to kick ass as a team. Their interactions give Star vs. the heart it needs to keep me coming back for more

 

Looking forward to following this one, however painful Disney will make it for me with its habit of trapping everything in endless hiatuses

But this show actually interests me, and I never understood the coolness of those you mention. Might be a personal issue since I don't get the channels those others air on, but from the commercials they didn't seem at all interesting to me. So I don't see the connection at all, sorry.
