Theory Theory on when the first EG happened.

So if you haven't heard already there is a lot of plot holes in the first equestria girls movie, one of the biggest of which was the fact they were preparing for Twilight's coronation when it had already happened. Well here's my theory, what if EG takes place within magical mystery cure? Remember when Twilight became an alicorn it cut off and then we got the coronation, well what if EG is what happened between those two scenes? So what do you think of my idea?

That seems to make a lot of sense but I do not know much about the EG movies although I have seen them a lot. As one Crystal Pony once said. "I don't even think I work here....."

Was it before the coronation? I thought it was before Twilight's first Princess Summit, which would be after the coronation. Or am I misremembering?

The first Equestria Girls movie takes place an unspecified period of time AFTER Twilight's coronation. The movie opens with her and her friends going to Canterlot. The absolute very first line of dialog in the whole film was delivered by Applejack, and states quite clearly why they are headed to the capital city. "Whoo-wee, your very first Princess Summit. You must be over the moon, Twilight." Aside from that, Twilight had her crown packed in her suitcase. She was crowned at her coronation, and wouldn't have had it otherwise.

Alright it turns out I must have misheard the dialogue and there was no plot hole there to begin with, still though there's a lot of plot holes and the movie still sucks.
