Where Can I Find Sound Effects?

Tech Reel

Recommended Posts

Heyo guys! :muffins:

I'm planning to make a mini audio series and I need some sound effects.

Ya know, like hooves walking and running. Different noises for objects too. Doors opening and closing, interactions with various items, things like that ;)

Where can I find these?

(especially the hooves)

I have plenty of tips for you!  I'm used to looking for sound effects for my fandubs.

This is the site I've always been using to find sound effects to my dubs. If I don't find it there, I usually try to go on YouTube and find something there instead. Believe it or not, but YouTube has also got sound effects and such that are relatively good.

Best word of advice here from an audio producer... Get mixcraft 7's free trial, their virtual instruments under sound effects can generate hoofclops, thunder, rain, and of course any sort of instrument (with decent accuracy). they also have some decent sample packs that come with it too.

Pro tip, to extend the demo time infinitely, each time your demo runs out run "regedit", search "acoustica" and delete the first folder you see, and voila! resetted demo time :P
