I never read the book but the movie was one of my all time favorites growing up. I just recently rewatched it on Netflix and it's still as good as it ever was.

 

Until just now I didn't know that was her first name.

oh yes, it became her's after Elizabeth Hartman killed herself 5 years after the release of the movie. They gave Brisby the name Elizabeth in tribute.
