What do you miss from the 90s?

Even though I'm a 2000s kid, I wish they could bring back all the old Nickelodeon and Cartoon Network shows. They are waaaaaaaay better than what we have on today on those channels now.

Rule: no hate allowed on this topic and ABSOLUTELY NO flame wars about what generation is better. I know I may sound a little like I'm worrying too much, but I have the sinking feeling this topic will have problems.

Last thing, if this topic does get out of hand, I will ask the moderators to remove it.

I miss all of the really good shows. Nothing can top old school Nick and Disney. You know, back when they had things like Doug, Talespin, Rugrats, Rocket Power... those sorts of shows. I think that's what I miss the most about the 90's. I was born in 1988, so most of my life was spent growing up in the 90's.

Also, who remembers this:

I miss people not banging on about the 90's all the time.

This. As someone who grew up in the 90s, it really wasn't a time I want to remember, due to lots of bullying at school. As far as media goes, everything I liked I can always rewatch. Only thing I remember that are worth bringing up, are foods like Oreo O's

Amen to that my friend. The wonderful timeless classics like Dexter's Laboratory, Ed Edd N Eddy, Samurai Jack, The Powerpuff Girls and Courage The Cowardly Dog etc. are so much better than Adventure Time, Regular Show, Uncle Grandpa, The Amazing World of Gumball and Teen Titans Go etc.

And as soon as Cartoon Network starts actually giving us good stuff to watch like The New Looney Toons Show and The New Tom and Jerry Show etc. they get rid of them because they apparently only want us to watch stuff full of random nonsense instead of anything truly good...

Why don't they do like the Hub Network did and give us new cartoons that are actually good like My Little Pony Friendship is Magic, Dan VS, And Littlest Petshop etc?

To be fair Regular Show is actually pretty decent though. And Adventure Time does get better later.

I bet you in the 90's, people said: "Only 70's kids will remember this!"

The 90's were cool and they had a lot of awesome things, but this generation has a lot of awesome things too. I don't see why people continue sighing and wishing they were back in the 90's.

I would say the cartoons and the movies (excluding ones like Titanic). There were a lot of good cartoons back then and a lot of good movies. And don't forget Pixar's hot start took place in the 90's. Another thing is the grunge music, which was also popular in the 90's, and the TV show/movie commercials and trailers.

I know it can get annoying at times, but think about when the 2020s come, the 2010s will be praised like the 2000s are now. The 2020s will be praised when the 2030s come and so on. Basically, everyone going to be arguing that their generation was better than the modern days. This battle of the decades has been going since the beginning of humanity and it can get annoying. I hate when 90s kids bash on 2000s kids for no reason.

FYI Samurai Jack is from 2001 not the 90's. Edited by TheJLeeTeam

I miss the time before everyone walked around with their face planted into some kind of electronic device.

I miss my grandpa and my favorite dog.

I miss the way Toyota built their vehicles.

I miss being a kid and not having any worries or responsibilities.

I miss the simpler time before 9/11.

It's hard to say I miss all of the great cartoons because now with the internet we can still watch them anytime we want.

90s Disney movies, getting free toys in cereals, when Pokémon really was more than just a game.

I remember having my little gameboy color flashlight so close to my screen in an attempt to see what was going on in my Pokemon Red game.

Such good times, I really miss being young the most from the 90's.
