So we thought ET for the atari was the worst, we thought Sonic boom was the worst But there is a game called Hong Kong 97 and it defines worst to the next level. So i will divide this into sections and see if it is good or bad

Music

So the music is annoying too it's just a 5 second loop nice way to get annoyed and the best part there is no options menu. ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!

Box Art

The Box art is crap. and it looks like a kid used Photoshop for this box art

Game play

So now we get to the game play and well it sucks trust me. In the intro they drop the F-Bomb. Really you can never get passed this in the Super Nintendo just imagine how many kids play this then they end up dropping the F-Bomb in front of their parents. in level 1 it's just a picture in the background yeah in the 2nd level it's the Coca-Cola picture

The death screen is too violent i can't even show it on here. The reason is because it's too graphic

The Angry Video Game Nerd recently reviewed this game, it's actually of the Super Famicom, nevertheless, there are emulators of Hong Kong 97, I have never played this game on a console nor on-line, but from what I can tell, this game is bollocks.

Extreme profanity, unlicensed use of celebrities image and names, calling for the genocide of China's entire population and an actual snuff picture for the game over screen?

I can see why this game has gotten the reputation it has...

But seriously what is wrong with them? Who uses an actual dead person for their game over screen? That's sick.

On top of that, the gameplay sucks  >_> . Yeah, I watched the Nerd's review of it

It was technically, it was never released for the SNES. Hell, it was hardly ever released at all because the game was so friggin' inexcusable. The closest thing the game was released on was the Super Famicom in Japan.

So yeah, technically, this isn't an SNES game.

Recently seen AVGN's review of this... thing. The only other game I can think of that would match its level of sheer stupidity is CrazyBus on the Genesis. But at least that game didn't have a plot.

Damn, communist hate was going out of style even in 1997.

I'm pretty sure they made the game only for that reason, as 1997 was the year Hong Kong ceased to be a British territory and became a part of China. (And, as we all know, the population of Hong Kong instantly rebelled and proceeded to slaughter the Chinese en masse.)

Oh man, I remember seeing a video of that game years ago, and it looks like they cared very little about the game. The game itself from what I saw in that video was way too unforgiving.

You can easily say that it, Bebe's Kids, Batman Forever and Captain Novolin are easily some of the worst SNES/Super Famicom games of all time.
