Well, we got an Applebloom card teasing about Luna's dream visit, and now we got this seeimly legit card. watch at your own risk

In case for it to be real, I got a theory that it won't happen, but it's one of Luna's nightmares we've been teased for a while

Calling this as being from Luna's Nightmare episode. Given the rest of the season's focus on Cutie marks and with the implications that starlight glimmer will return later as a villain, I don't see a "Celestia turns evil" arc making sense in any other sense except as Luna's nightmare.

Plus, the EOH being in her throne instead of the Tree of harmony would be a bit of a continuity screw up if it happened in reality, since the plunder vines would go out on control again.

But most likely a non-continuity sort of thing, as some have point out it being to the Luna dreamscape episode.  Either way if it is in an episode, it will likely be in a way that make it clear this is not what Celestia really is like.

That image reminds me a little of Evil Celestia in the Reflections art of the comics. That Celestia's appearance is slightly different but still similar. The idea of the main universe Celestia going bad also sounds like something we'd be more likely to see in the comics. I highly doubt that card suggests anything remotely canon though.

I think this will relate to Luna's nightmare. Here's something to ponder. Since Luna can visit other ponies dreams, will she broadcast her nightmare all over Equestria to anypony that happens to be asleep? That's actually a pretty scary thought.

All I can say is, Luna has a nightmare that starts off good, the ponies play at night, and Celestia is Jealous. So she becomes Nightmare Star and at the end of the dream, Luna banishes her to the sun. Which kills her. And Luna Wakes up crying.

All I can say is, Luna has a nightmare that starts off good, the ponies play at night, and Celestia is Jealous. So she becomes Nightmare Star and at the end of the dream, Luna banishes her to the sun. Which kills her. And Luna Wakes up crying.

If that were the case, Celestia would be dead too, as Nightmare Moon banished Celestia to the sun in the pilot per writers word. I hope we'll get an inverse of the story in the dream, ponies loving Luna's night, but sleeping during Celestia's day, that'll probably mean bat ponies  , even if they're just dreams, but:

Sounds more likely Starlight Glimmer is the one who will return at the finale with those unoficial episodes tittles we got so far

Another Theory 

 

I find it possible, that, we won't deal with Luna's nightmares, instead, there's a dream world and is threatened by the remains of Nightmare Moon. I mean, Dream Worlds existing in fictional works is nothing new either
