*Hmm o3o There doesn't seem to be any boxing thread o3o 8| And thus Naxy brings you a Boxing Thread!!!*

Ladies and Gentlmen, Mares and Stallions (or Colts), lets get ready to ruuuuuumbllllllllle!!!!!

Sup guys :3 Name's Inax, and this is the Boxing thread, where all your boxing conversations about upcoming fights, boxers, and main events will be discussed. I am a boxing fan (not one to actually do the sport) and I do enjoy some good fighting, especially when it either goes the distances or TKO/KO occurs. The square circles is where it's at, both blood, sweet, and manly/feminine tears were spilled in the ring and it is so awesome talk about.

There will be some opinions about who's a better boxer, brawler, counter fighter, or aggressor in certain matches, but hey, this is where can see who is worth winning a match. (Keep it clean x3)

Top Fighters that I see are at their prime (not in exact order of good or meh):

Sergey "The Krusher" Kovalev

Gennady "Triple G" Golovkin

Floyd Mayweather

Manny "Pacman" Pacquiao

Wladimir "Dr. Steel Hammer" Klitschko

Timothy Bradley

4/26/2015

Currently, as we should probably know by now, the ultimate and unique fight is coming this following weekend on May 2nd between two of boxing's greatest complainants:

Floyd Mayweather v. Manny Pacquiao

I'm not good at explaining stuff, but if anyone has seen these two fight, we all know that Mayweather is a quick dodger, can take some hits, and an amazing counter. Yet, on the other hand, Pacman has the speed and agility, the quick punches (that do have power), and extremely persistent. Both have gone through some heavy fights over the course of their careers. Both had felt some heavy hits, only Pacman had only been KO horridly once.

It has been said that this is one of 3 matches that is consider a "Super Match" of our generation, though we have to see it to believe.

Now my opinion, quick and short, for me, I hope Mayweather puts his money where his mouth is (which I hope you does choke on it). Yah, he is good (at running around like a wuss), but not as fast as Pac. Yet, Pac has to be very careful with this sucker, one false move and then it would be lights out, just like that knockout with Marquez. This better not be a sellout (50/50 chance, it probably is), and this better be the fight of the century.

If you guys want to talk about other upcoming fights, go on ahead :3

This is relevant. In my town, a store near where I live went out of business. To my surprise, a gym opened up there recently. It's gym catering to boxers. I do admit I keep stopping and watching (really fit B) ) guys work the heavy bags and spar in the ring. I don't go in I just pause a moment or two to look in the window.

Neat! X3 There is a couple of young starting boxers that I see sometimes. What is awesome is that there is a gym near where I live that has a professional boxer training. I forgot if I have seen him fight recently. Hmmm, gotta remember names =3=

I am a boxing fan, especially for the heavyweight division in the 70s-90s era. I just never found a good place to talk about it, so a big thank you to Inax for making this thread!  :)

The fighters I love watching most are George Foreman, Evander Holyfield, Tommy Morrison, Joe Frazier, and Bert Cooper. Foreman was a force of nature with a sense of humor and charisma to burn--overrated by some, but still a superb fighter and businessman. Holyfield was "boxing's warrior spirit" and, true to that nickname, went on fighting for as long as he could. Morrison was a knockout artist with one of the scariest left hooks in heavyweight history, a class act who could have gone further if not for AIDS and a messy personal life. (RIP, Tommy.)

I am less familiar with other weight divisions and modern boxing in particular, but enough to know that I instinctively dislike Floyd Mayweather Jr. and would like to see him lose at least one fight...so, go Manny.  It sounds like this is going to be a spectacle on par with the first Ali/Frazier and Tyson/Lewis, and that's great to hear. Boxing needs a shot in the arm in the USA.

I still remember way back when me and my dad watched the Joe Frazier vs Muhammad Ali match, "Thrilla in Manila" on an old tape.

You could just feel the tension, man.
